WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Hi All!!

Is the OP, tiggerlover still here? :confused3

I need to read more, and say hello to all - when I get a chance! :thumbsup2

Onward and downward! :cool1:
Does no one know (or care) about the whereabouts of tiggerlover?? :confused3 I'd like to know, if someone knows. :worship:

OK, I had to get back to WW today after missing my meeting last week. 2 weeks ago, I was just 3 lbs from my goal...in the 2 week period, I GAINED 5.8 lbs!!!!!! Some is TOM, but come on now...not almost 6 pounds. I know exactly what happened, which is good, I guess. I STOPPED TRACKING. I just got sick of it...I started WW in mid December, and have been a good tracker, which has really helped me.

Well, I hit a crazy time in my schedule and all went to hell...

HELP!! I need motivation to resolve this...my leader today said she calls these non-stick pounds, as in they went on so fast, they should be non-stick and come off fairly quickly if I get back on plan QUICKLY!!!

I was thinking about her recently too, and noticed she hasn't been around here much lately. Hope everything is ok

No it was a real portabella mushroom. Have no idea what i even paid for them but it was LARGE and I grilled it. It was so good. I did put it on the arnold sandwich thin. I love them. One point and so worth it. I admit, I had two.

sounds yummy! I am going to have to try that this weekend!
:woohoo:Down another pound this week!

My average is 1.6 pounds and that counts one vacation week and it's subesquent recovery week.

Just back from the grocery and it feels so good to have one point english muffins and one point bread and egg beaters and fresh fruit and veggies in the house, as well as one and two point snacks. I'm packing lunches, cooking dinner and going for that 10 pound smilie this week. :thumbsup2

.

awesome! Keep up the good work

Ladies, I also use a Fiber One whole wheat bun for a burgetr. It is one point and does not get mushy

My DDIL made a garlic "toast" with the sandwich thins that was yummy.

Toast or broil the thin with a little healthy oil. Top with crushed garlic and FF cheese. I use mozzarella Veggie Shreds, which is "free" for me, and then broil until the cheese melts. Low point yummy snack

I've been making these the past few days....really yummy! Thanks!

Good Morning everyone! I feel like I am getting somewhere again! I weighed in at exactly 80 kg (in case anyone wonders what this is in pounds: 176). That's 1.3 pounds less than last week! :cool1: And I am sure that I will finally officially manage to get below that magic border of 80 kg! :goodvibes

wonderful! Congratulations. Next week...you'll be below 80kg, I know it!

ughhhh....unfortunately I know exactly how you feel. I've been on that road for the past few months. Not tracking will do that to you. At yesterday's meeting my leader talked about that very thing...Motivation. How to get motivated, how to keep the motivation going etc.

One thing that helps me is to simply set up small goals for myself. If I set up a big goal for next week, I start to lose it before the week is over. When I am in a funk like that, I need smaller, more immediate goals; sometimes like "just get through today with tracking everything" or " just get through today without going over your points" When I've been able to acheive those small goals, it motivates me to do it again tomorrow, then the next day etc.

I did well this past week....down 2 lbs. I am feeling a little like on I'm a precarious edge this week. Usually when I've lost, the nexct few weeks I go off program, gain a few pounds, then try like crazy to get it off before I have to weigh in again (I need to weigh in once a month)I really, really want to keep losing to get back to where I feel most comfortable...about 6 - 7 more pounds. I've been doing okay the past couple days with tracking; I did go over my points yesterday, but I wrote them down.

Tomorrow and Saturday will be a challenge though. We are going to a Brockton Rox game and my DD11 informed me our seats are right next to concession stand :headache:
Saturday is my niece's b'day party and SIL told me we are having pizza :headache: Wish me luck this weekend....I'm going to need it!

I'm new on this board. I started WW last week and had my first weigh in on Wednesday. I lost 6.4 pounds my first week.

I am really tracking everything and not feeling deprived. I even have some points left over some days. My goal is to lose about 40 pounds total.

Thank goodness the Holiday weekend is over.....I feel like the ups and downs can even out now.

cepmom- good luck! Birthdays are my nemesis...I love cake so I am thinking of you

Tink- welcome! WW is a great way to get healthy! Be careful about not using your points, that can backfire.

Wednesday was WI for me. I gained .4. I was okay with that, we had events and meals out starting on Thursday night so couple that with a great loss last week it made sense.

One more week to go til I am Lifetime!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks Nancy....it's not so much the cake that gets me, it's the pizza, the chips and dip, the cheese and crackers, and the drinks! I work weekends so I usually miss these family parties. I am off this Saturday and when SIL heard I was coming, she immediately asks me what I am drinking these days :laughing:I know she'll have something I shouldn't be having

:woohoo:one more week for you!!!:cheer2:

Hi, since I'm still new to this would you explain? Is it because if I don't get enough calories my body can't burn them or what? There is so much to learn about this stuff!

Congrats on being so close to lifetime!

Tink561, if you go below your poinst consistantly, then your metabolism will slow down (it thinks you may be starving). It's best to 'mix it up'.

I've had a day here or there where I didn't get in all my points, but it was because of a high volume of low point or zero point foods (so technically my body was still getting some calories). Some weeks I use all my flex points, some week just a few. Last Sunday was a 50 point day!!!!!! BUT, I didn't go over for the week. And still showed a loss at my weigh in.

Gotcha! Thanks, that makes perfect sense. I am eating lots of fruits & veggies so sometimes it seems hard to get in all the points. I will make sure I get enough.

Happy Friday!!!:woohoo:

I was off work last Friday so I didn't weigh in (scales at work). I am up .02 this week. I guess not too bad for a 4 day weekend. It's so much nicer to see a loss though:rotfl: I have 3lbs to get to my next reward goal, I would really like to get there by week after next. I don't have 3lb loss weeks anymore. They really weren't kidding when they said your metabolism slows as you get older. I work twice as hard for half as much.

Have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!

You are not kidding! i never used to have to worry about losing weight, I would think "lose" and it would fall off. No more! Now I look at fattening food and it jumps on my hips and stays there! It is real work to lose it!

Tink- I was not eating all my points and I got stuck at my last five pounds. My leader told me to eat more and I lost. Mix your points up, like ibouncetoo suggested and see what happens.

I agree you have to eat to lose.

Last week I made goal, so they added 4 pts per day. Since i was already 2 pts below my goal weight, I'm not supossed to lose more, so I really worked at eathing those 4 pts and making sure they were good food choices -- would you know it, I lost again! When I was trying to get to goal and being really strict on my points and NOT using the 35 extra. The darn scale didn't move. Use your pts wisely and the lbs will come off. Don't use them and the lbs will just sit there.

You don't have to use the 35 extra points, right?

I admit, I rarely use the 35 and never use more then half of them. I also use them for real food, not junk food. I truly have found that by eating clean and cutting out a lot of junk/trigger foods I just don't get the urge to binge anymore. If I'm really hungry, I eat real food. Now that all said, my "treat" is always 2 pts worth of weight watcher snacks every evening.

I love the Weight Watcher icecream sandwiches! I'm finding that I am really not missing junk food too much. Once in the last week I have had real chips that I love but I counted them out for serving size.

How long did it take you to reach your goal weight? My goal is to lose 50 pounds.

Tink, it took me exactly 1 year and 2 days to reach goal. I only had 4 weeks in that time period that I had a gain, the largest was 1 lb. I am not young (58) but I can honestly say my age did not hinder me. I did work the plan, followed it to a T and weighed and measured and counted every single item that went into my mouth. I also journaled every meal. The plan works. I do both meeting and online.

Thanks for sharing. I am definitely working the plan. I'm new but determined. Congratulations on your goal, that is huge!

I love the Weight Watcher icecream sandwiches! .

Have you had the Skinny Cow products? I'm wondering how they compare taste wise. I LOVE the Skinny Cow mint ones. :cloud9: Tastes like a frozen mint Girl Scout cookie.

Time to head home from work and build a nice salad with all the fixins I bought. I'm one half of a pound away from my mini-goal and I weigh in on Monday....not gonna mess that up this weekend! Wish me luck!
