WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

I am not doing very well at the moment, I gained 1 pound :sad2: I am not really sure why - I have been tracking and I stayed within my points. I seem to be stuck at that barrier of 80 kg, I just can't get below it... I guess the only thing to do is to keep going, but it is getting harder.

It could be anything but your points. Hidden salt in the day or so before WI, exercise could have inflamed your muscle tissue and you retained water, you might not be eating enough, you had water too close to WI.

If you have been stuck try changing your WP's and have more on one day than on another, eat a little more and make sure that you are getting enough dairy and healthy oil. I am 52 and lose more if I have three servings of dairy daily and make sure I get my oils in.

Stop drinking 4 hours before WI and have a lighter lunch that day. And I learned the hard way that Chinese take out even two days before WI is not a great idea ;)

Do not give up......your getting there!

Do not give up......your getting there!

Thanks a lot for the heads up!! :goodvibes I think it might have something to do with the healthy oil, this is the one thing I find most difficult. But I know that it is really important for me when I try to lose weight. So this week I will make sure I have enough of it every day! :thumbsup2

Well, I had my WI Tuesday and was down the .4 that I had gained the previous week. I was happy with that! At least I'm going in the right direction! ;) Hopefully, I will continue. I'm trying to exercise & walk more each week. Sunday we did yardwork for about 2 hours. I have only walked one day so far because life's been busy! I'm going to force myself to get on the treadmill today because it's raining. I really HATE the treadmill and don't really know why. :confused3 It's in our basement with a TV, so I know that all I need to do is watch a 30 min show & I'd be done. I'd just much rather walk outside!

I bought a box of the WW Berry Smoothies this week to try. I normally don't buy things at meetings because I think they are expensive. The smoothies were $7 for 7, so I told myself that wasn't too bad. I've had one the past 2 mornings with my 1 pt Arnolds Select Sandwich Thins toast. It seems to be very filling! I'm making the smoothies with milk and it counts as 2 milks and = 3 pts. I have a hard time getting my milk in alot of times.

Well, wish me luck.....I'm off the the treadmill.....:scared1:

Hope you all have a good day!
Kym

Ran across this great quote while over on the Weight Watchers website.

"On this journey, don't take a watch, take a compass.... it's not so much about how long it takes, it's the direction you are going that counts."

No starving!

I had my WI tonight and it was not good. I gained 1.6 pounds. I had a cushion so it was okay but no more lapses like this week. LPNmom- one of my "treats" was a prickly pear Martini 7 Points :scared1:so I am back with all of you.....on track!
Not really starving myself, but just having to be strict with staying within my points each day, because I used all my extra points for the week on the Mother's Day dinner! Though I made wise choices, but when I counted them ohhh my was it alot!! Chocolate martini's are my down fall, I will have try a prickly pear one :thumbsup2

Thanks, I love the quotes.

I am down 1.5lbs this week:woohoo: I am finally back to what I was in September when I did the Disneyland half marathon. After the marathon I stopped exercising for three months and gained 17lbs. It's nice to be back to this point, now I have 21lbs to get back to the lowest weight I made it to in 2007(which would be the lowest I have been as an adult). One pound at a time:goodvibes

Have a great weekend!!

i'm totally embarrassed to say that i gained 3 lbs this week!! ugh. i was doing really well up until wed, when we went out for dinner and i was actually good and ate only half of the huge portion of meatloaf that i was given. then yesterday someone brought brownies to work and i had 3! my friend also invited us over to her house where i had another dessert (that i didn't even like!).

:sad2:

i am almost done with school for the semester though, so i'm hoping that i can get back to going to the gym and eating right.

Congrats! It's great to back at the 'good spot' and know that you can now focus on getting to the 'best spot'!

What's up with that? When I do this...and trust me, I HAVE plenty of times, it just make me, well....:sad2: at myself! I can TOTALLY understand three brownies, however!:lmao: I'm sure once school is over you'll be able to really focus on your healthy food and exercise plan.

oh the brownies were soooo good!:lovestruc

i don't like raspberry cheesecake and that's what we had. i didn't even really enjoy it! i couldn't believe that i ate the whole piece she gave me!

I can tell you that your body sometimes just has a mind of it's own. You do everything right and yet it tells the scale to go anywhere it wants. It's frustrating. However, do not eat into it this week. Trust me it has taken me 20+ years to learn not to eat into it. Stay on program and next week you will find that you are down the 1 lb and then some.

I can tell you that these last 10 lbs as I have gotten closer to goal the scale really taunted me. Up and down fractions of a lb all the while knowing I've been following plan. In some ways I have taken comfort in it as I feel it's my way that my body is telling me this is the weight I should be at, so I know I have made the right choice in picking a # above the "limit"

It has been a interesting journey this year with peaks and valleys and a learning experience I have learned that I have now have a new lifestyle. I am not on a diet.

Thanks a lot, I am still doing good with keeping op the programm, even though yesterday I was at a party and that did not go soo well. But I was still eating much better than I would have done a few months ago.

What really helps me keep on track is my jogging. I signed up for a 5k run and trying to beat my time from last year (34:58) was a big motivation for making good choices food wise. The 5k was yesterday and I am so proud of my time: 31:31 :banana::banana::banana:

I am now going to sign up for a 10k run in August to keep me training!!

I too have become involved in 5K's I did one earlier this month with friends and we pretty strolled it. I am doing another one the 11th of June (JP Morgan Chase Challange) and I have already told my group that this one I am doing for ME. To see what time I can really do it in so that I have a goal to beat on my next one. I know I can do better then 1 1/2 hours (I was with a group that took bathroom breaks).

i finally got my butt back to the gym for the last 2 days and total i burned 1060 cal! i feel so proud of myself. i just have to remember to keep bringing my clothes with me to work so i can go to the gym after work this week. it'll be nice because i go to the gym in a college town and it is always jammed! finals are this week and that means that the students start leaving, which means less people at the gym. yay! :yay:

1 1/2 hours is really a rather comfortable time for 5k :goodvibes Good luck with the 5k in June. Doing it for yourself certainly is the way to go! I find that I am actually much faster during a run than when I am training. Normally it takes me about 40 min for 5 kilometers. :goodvibes

Great! I hate going to a crowded gym, too. That's one of the reasons why I actually am more regularly at the gym during summer than winter - and the reason that the gym is air conditioned while the outside world isn't during summer and I hate being hot!

I actually realized this weekend that I have changed my lifestyle quite a bit: I am so much more active than I used to be. I walk to work on a regular basis (30 min one way in a brisk walking speed), I go running three times a week and then I do things like yesterday when I went on a bike tour with friends which turned out to be 35 miles!! :scared1: Even though I find it hard to lose weight at the moment. This is really something that makes me feel much better! :goodvibes

Brownies are my downfall as well. as others have said, this is a lifestyle not a diet and once in a while brownies get in the way. Don't look back, don't feel guilty. Just continue to make good healthy choices whenever possible.

I know that we all focus on the scale but I don't think it is the most important measure of a WW lifestyle. As you said, your stamina, your health adn your clothes all tell you how you have changed.

Last year at this time I could not go up and down the stairs without losing my breath. I was always groggy and tired, I always felt like I got run over by a truck. And I thought that was normal. No more! I want the scale to agree with how I feel but I took the scenic route to get here because I did not want to diet, I wanted to change my eating habits. Your changes are amazing!

My WI went well today. I lost a little over 3 pounds. We had my DGD's First Communion party and while I made food that I was comfortable eating there was also cake and I love cake! 2 more weeks until I make Lifetime!

Nancy, congratulations on the three pounds!! Only two moe weeks until lifetime sounds fantastic and is a huge encouragement for me, especially because you say that you took the scenic route! :thumbsup2

My WI this week was not great, I lost half a pound. But I am happy that it is a loss and am still very motivated to keep on track. I want to get below that 80 kg mark so desperately and I know the only way to get there is to stick to my points not by eating more!! :goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a good week! The weather in Ohio has been BEAUTIFUL!! :woohoo:

I had my WI on Tuesday and was COMPLETELY, COMPLETELY surprised that I was down 2.6 lbs.!!!!!! :cool1: I even asked the lady who weighed me in if she was sure. I've lost 3 lbs over the last 2 weeks, bringing my total to 44.6 lbs in just a little over 2 years. I've been trying to figure out what I did different last week and the only thing was that I had bought some WW Wild Berrie Smoothies the week before to try and had drank those a few days for breakfast. They are very filling! I'm going to have one today and add some fresh strawberries!

I just realized I didn't post my weigh in results on Monday. :headache: I'm down 1.5.

I've also gotten in two swims so far this week. The weather hasn't been cooperating as we've been getting evening storms or threats of storms. I'm heading to the pool tonight and will swim until the lightening comes, dog gone it!

You will do it! My DDIL .2'ed it to 45 pounds but she got there! She said that if you make the right choices it will happen :thumbsup2

I think that the calcium might be helping. I know that if I make sure I get three servings of dairy I do better.

Excellent loss!

I am here today to give you all hope that goal can be reached. It took me 1 year and 2 days from the first time I walked through the ww door (for about the 8th time) to make goal. I today am the same weight I was when I became pregnant with my youngest son (who is 19 years old!) So while it took me 19 years to do it, I DID do it. It does not matter how many times you fall down, it's how many times you get up.
