WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Hey there, folks.

So, I did a magic trip and made myself dissapear for a while. Being a full time student and holding a full time job just plain got the best of me, and weightloss fell to the back burner.

I am happy to report, however, that I am back and ready to go! With finals over, I have much less on my plate right now, and I finally have the time to focus on getting healthy.

So, to refresh/reintroduce myself. I'm 22, and 5'11'' Last week, I weighed in at 224.4. I'd gotten down to 218.5, having started at 232 quite a while ago. So, I guess I gained back six or so lbs. I think this also was a bit high due to TOM and weighing in the afternoon, instead of the usual morning. I started back up watching my food intake this week, and started going to the gym this week also. I've been doing 25 minutes of elliptical, and some crunches and planks just in case there are any muscles under my flub that would appreciate that kind of thing. ;)

Anyway, I hope to be back and posting here regularly. I havent caught up reading the thread, but it certaintly seems like people are doing well. Congrats to everyone for all their progress. :)

I am here today to give you all hope that goal can be reached. It took me 1 year and 2 days from the first time I walked through the ww door (for about the 8th time) to make goal. I today am the same weight I was when I became pregnant with my youngest son (who is 19 years old!) So while it took me 19 years to do it, I DID do it. It does not matter how many times you fall down, it's how many times you get up.

congratulations on reaching your goal!!! :cool1::banana::dance3:It doesn't matter how long it took you to get there, what matters is you got there!!!:woohoo:Way to go!

Your posts have been so inspirational to me! I know that you have had struggles and you shared them so I knew that if you could do this, so could I! Thank you!

Welcome! Please try to join us and post often. I think that this thread is one more layer of support, encouraging when you are racing downward towards your goal, but really awesome when you need some ideas or some help to get over a hurdle in the way.

Well this weekend is posing gynormous hurdles for me! It started last night when DH turned into a local pizza house. I generally avoid Italian food like the plague but not last night :sad2:. I love gyros and ended up with a platter. Not too bad because I had plenty of points, WI was on Wednesday night.

Tonight my sister is hosting a Pampered Chef party but is really having a PARTY! Mexican theme with Mojitos. I am making a Mexican Lasagna that is CORE, as well as a chuckwagon bake that will not be too bad but the rest of the food will not be friendly. And then the weekend is Memorial weekend. I really am going to try to manage the weekend but it is not going to be a picnic.

Anyone else have challenges food wise this weekend?

I am actually - for the first time in a long time! - looking forward to a weekend without food challenges. But yesterday I went hiking with a few friends and had a grilled sausage (Bratwurst) for lunch :scared1: I had to balance it out with the activity points I earned through hiking, even though I try not to eat my activity points at the moment to get my weight loss going again...

i'm definitely going to have some struggles this weekend. i'm headed to a surprise birthday party this weekend at an italian restaurant! :scared1: then lots of food at my grandparent's house, because everyone loves to cook when there's a big gathering of family. i just have to remember to keep water by my side at all times!

Hi All!!

Is the OP, tiggerlover still here? :confused3

I need to read more, and say hello to all - when I get a chance! :thumbsup2

Onward and downward! :cool1:

2.6 lb is great! Congratulations!! You have lost quite a bit now already, haven't you? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to win your family competition! :goodvibes

I made portabella mushroom "burgers" yesterday at the bbq. Let me tell you once you put "everything" on them you forget you are not eating a beef hamburger and so much more point friendly. I think they are my new best food find.

was it just a portobello mushroom or a veggie type burger from the market??? I have been eating Dr Praeger's tex mex burgers in place of regular hamburgers. They are so good! I put them on one of those Arnold Sandwich Thins with lettuce, tomato, red onion and they are only like 2 points total!

No it was a real portabella mushroom. Have no idea what i even paid for them but it was LARGE and I grilled it. It was so good. I did put it on the arnold sandwich thin. I love them. One point and so worth it. I admit, I had two.

:woohoo:Down another pound this week!

My average is 1.6 pounds and that counts one vacation week and it's subesquent recovery week.

Just back from the grocery and it feels so good to have one point english muffins and one point bread and egg beaters and fresh fruit and veggies in the house, as well as one and two point snacks. I'm packing lunches, cooking dinner and going for that 10 pound smilie this week. :thumbsup2

.

Ibouncetoo: Congratulations :cheer2:

I am pretty happy with my scales as well!! I am not weighing in officially until tomorrow, but I actually look at my current weight every day. I know you are not supposed to do that... But for me it is never a discouragement when the number is not what I would like, but it can be a huge motivation if it is. And this morning it was just wonderful. For the first time in a long time I saw a weight below 80 kg! I just hope it will stick around until tomorrow! :goodvibes

Whatever works is what is best for you! Check in and let us know :thumbsup2

Ladies, I also use a Fiber One whole wheat bun for a burgetr. It is one point and does not get mushy

My DDIL made a garlic "toast" with the sandwich thins that was yummy.

Toast or broil the thin with a little healthy oil. Top with crushed garlic and FF cheese. I use mozzarella Veggie Shreds, which is "free" for me, and then broil until the cheese melts. Low point yummy snack

Weigh in day!! Lost 1.8lbs this week! Last week I hit my 5% mark! Does anyone know how to set your target weight on wwonline? Oh I wished my grocery stores carried fiber one hamburger buns, I did see the sandwich thins yesterday, wondering if they are any good?

The sandwich things are wonderful. Get them. They are my go to staple food.

You can set you goal on WW online by going into your profile and setting it there.

Good Morning everyone! I feel like I am getting somewhere again! I weighed in at exactly 80 kg (in case anyone wonders what this is in pounds: 176). That's 1.3 pounds less than last week! :cool1: And I am sure that I will finally officially manage to get below that magic border of 80 kg! :goodvibes
