WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Congratulations to all the "losers" here! Thanks for the information about WI as a PP stated I was able to weigh in no problem. So as of today, my second weigh in I was down 1.4 more for a total of 4.4! Considering I didn't "really" get started until a few days after my first meeting, in one week and one day I lost 4.4 lbs and I'm excited about that! Just wanted to share and wish everyone good luck with their weigh ins as well! :wizard:

For anyone who is a member of the YMCA, you should check out the YFit program, if you haven't already. It's a free assessment w/ a trainer - they measure your fitness level, figure your percentage of body fat and the trainer you meet with will give you exercises that you can use to meet your goals. I have two more meetings with the trainer to check progress. But it was really helpful because I found out I was not doing weight training properly for my goals. :upsidedow

Thanks for the info! I've seen the posters, but didn't understand the program and, frankly, couldn't ask with a screaming toddler draped around my neck. I'll definitely check it out.:scratchin

Thank you. It is getting better now that DH is able to do a little more on his own. Plus we had an unexpected snow day today (although there was no snow in sight) and I have caught up on a lot of things, which allows me to breath a little easier.

we've had a couple of those snow days before. it feels like you are cheating almost. glad things are getting better.

So as of today, my second weigh in I was down 1.4 more for a total of 4.4!

slightly-obsessed- My DH was not a fan but he choked it down. He has an aversion to the same veggies as your DH :rotfl2:

at least yours tried it... I'm pretty sure my husband would just laugh at me. I feel like I'm going to have sneak feed my kids veggies when he's not around so they won't realize he doesn't like them and follow suit.... I can see it now... "quick kids, eat your broccoli before your dad smells it..... "

I had a nice warm fuzzy today; someone told me I looked today like I was about 25 lbs lighter than I actually am (she was trying to guess my weight and guessed 125-130; I'm 153) . I'm going to have to wear the same outfit everyday if it makes me look that good..... :thumbsup2

heatherfeather24 - it's amazing what screaming toddlers stop you from doing. :upsidedow It was actually a pretty interesting meeting and I hope it's very helpful. I guess I have to make it back to the gym to try the circuit out though... :sad2:

He would not even try the smothered chicken and barey, which was really good. He said it did not look like food.

Those non scale victories are the best!
 
I actually gained a pound this week. :sad2: It was my own fault though. I was expecting it but it still hurt. I'm determined that it will not happen again this week! I am tracking every bite that goes into my mouth!!!!!!

Congrats! keep up the awesome work; I am always so impressed when I see your ticker. It's such an inspiration.

Hope everyone had a good day. I'm going to go back to organizing my kitchen. We did a lot of work on it this past weekend (painted cabinets, back splash and walls). It looks great but I am soooo ready to have my cooking stuff and food back in the kitchen and out of my living and dining rooms. Almost there!

I lost 0.8 lbs better than nothing I guess.
I am going to Miami next weekend and hope to lose a few more before we go, as it is going to be hard while I'm away. It is a work think (DH)- banquets and such- I will just try to make good choices and watch portions. That is about all I can do.

Only a Pound

Hello, do you know me?

If you don't you should. I'm a pound of fat, and
I'm the happiest pound of fat you would ever want to meet.

Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me; I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound.

Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or
fifteen pounds, but never only one, so I just stick around and happily keep you fat.

Then I add to myself ever so slyly so that you never seem to notice it, that is until I've grown to ten, twenty or even more pounds in weight.

Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND of fat, left to do as I please.

So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound." (as if that were such a terrible thing!)

For you see, if you do this you'll encourage others
to keep me around because they will think I'm not worth losing. And I love being around you--your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.

Happy Days!!! After all, I'm ONLY ONE POUND of fat!!!

I had my monthly weigh in yesterday and I am so happy that I am only .8 over what I weighed in December, not bad since I packed on all that weight over the holidays. I am down from my New Year's Day weight by 7.4 pounds, so I can not complain. Only 5.4 to go to get back to by 5 pound cushion.

Congrats to all who have posted losses the last couple of days and {{{HUGS}}} to anyone who has gained.

I had my monthly weigh in yesterday and I am so happy that I am only .8 over what I weighed in December, not bad since I packed on all that weight over the holidays. I am down from my New Year's Day weight by 7.4 pounds, so I can not complain. Only 5.4 to go to get back to by 5 pound cushion.

My WI was yesterday and I'm down 2.8 lbs! :dance3: I have to set my goal soon, I think I might do another 10 or 15 lbs and call it good for now. I think I may ultimately want to get lower, but I'm not sure. I could technically set it at 150, which would be 2 lbs, but I think I wouldn't do well to all of a sudden shift my focus like that. I've got all week to think about it, although I've been thinking about it for the last month and still haven't come up with a number....

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good weekend. :grouphug: for anyone who is struggling right now.

Congrats on your loss, that is great for the week!!! Good luck on setting your goal, that is one of the hardest parts, at lest it was for me. But once I decided all was good!
 
Good morning everyone. I haven't been around lately and have miss this thread. I spend last week in disney world on the dining plan, and am now back on track. We got home wed night, and thursday i got right into on program and started tracking, and saturday weighed in and was thrilled to have stayed the same. Plus, the day before I left on vacation I had a 1.8 loss, so I thought for sure I would have gained that back. I did enjoy the dining plan, and because we had the refillable mugs, I'd always get a water with my meals, and that helped me to keep drinking. I stayed away from the fries, but did have many desserts, but didn't finish a chocolate cake because it wasn't worth it. That's not like me. We did walk a lot, and that really helped. My goal now is to keep tracking, and stay on program.

Congratulations to all who have lost. There's some great numbers posted here, and hugs to any who are struggling or have gained. It is a lifestyle change, be patient with yourself and just don't give up and it will come.
