WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Just thought I would introduce myself to fellow WW members

My name is MaryRuth and I have been a WW member for 2 months now and have lost aroud 13.8 pds only 2.2 until I hit 10%!

I usually weigh in tonight, however I can't find my membership booklet..guess I'll keep looking!

Tiggerlover (((HUGS))) Take it one hour at a time.

ucfsweetie82 and wishuponastar1 welcome to our thread.

Another weigh in day today for me. I'm down 1.2 this week. I'll take it.

Long 3 day weekend coming up, I see weekly points being used in my near future. That is what they are there for.

Hi everyone- I haven't been on in a while and I have to go back and I need to go back and review the past few weeks to catch up- but hello old friends and welcome new friends!

I had quite a few false starts since I first posted here (probably 6-8 weeks ago) I finally got back on track last Wednesday and I have been doing well. Since last Wednesday I lost 5.6 pounds! I am so happy and motivated!

Congrats to all of you who had losses this week- and to everyone else -hang in there!

Also- I chose a turtle for my ticker because- slow and steady...

:cheer2::cheer2: to both of you!

I love the turtle! I am one of those slow losers and have thought of teh turtle a lot!

Hi Everyone! I'm new to WW and thought this would be a great place to get to know other WWers! I'm down 2.8 my first week which was really only 4 days as it took a few days to get going really. I am looking forward to another great week!

I had a question though - I don't love the meeting I'm attending (on Thursdays) so I'm changing to a Tuesday meeting in a different location. Since I just weighed in on Thursday (last night) will they let me weigh again on Tuesday or will I have to go 1.5 weeks to weigh in again? Help! :) Thanks!

Hi all --

Congrats to the "losers!" It sounds like most folks are really back on the bandwagon what with the new year and all.

As for me, down .4 this week and a little disappointed given how careful I was. I have to keep remembering that this is the first time I'm doing WW while nursing a kiddo. I suppose I can't expect my body to work the same way right now that it usually does. Even so, it was a bummer not to see my usual big numbers in the first couple of weeks. Sigh.

No big changes in my plans for the coming week. Just trying to keep planning and tracking.

Got a questions for those of you staying home with young kiddos: how do you fit exercise in? The Y that I go to has kid care, but I can only get there maybe once or twice a week at best, so that doesn't really work and Chicago temperatures certainly aren't letting me get outside to play anytime soon. Any thoughts on ways to squeeze in activity at home? Favorite workout tapes, etc.?

Thanks everyone. The weekend has been a little easier since I am not juggling going to work and all, so I am glad for that relief. Sure wish I had a three day weekend! I did fall off the bus yesterday eating wise, but at least I have been keeping up with my exercise. Tomorrow will be a better day.

:wleomce: wishuponastar1

Congrats Mary Anne, CheapMom, Maxinesmom and heatherfeather24 on your losses!! :cheer2:

ucfsweetie82 - welcome and congrats on the great loss! holy cow! when's the cruise? and can I say I'm a little jealous about the vacation plans?

tiggerlover - I don't blame you for whining a bit. I wish you the best and just remember to breathe, it sounds like that might be a little hard to fit in right now. :flower3: good luck this week!

wishuponastar1 - welcome to you too! congrats on the loss so far. And I haven't had my membership booklet for the last 2 meetings (lost it, found it, lost it again)... thank god for computers; they can just look everything up! Hope you found your booklet, I feel lost w/o mine... :upsidedow

Mary Anne - nice loss! congrats!

CheapMom - 5.6 lbs?! wow! nice work. :thumbsup2

Maxinesmom - welcome and congrats on your loss too! You can switch you Tuesday meetings without a problem; the meeting week starts over on Monday (no meeting on Sunday), so meeting topic switches that day. I hope you find a meeting you like, keep searching until you do! It is so much better when you like the leader and the people in the meeting.

heatherfeather24 - hang in there! you are still losing and we all have slow weeks. I don't have any kids yet, but I do have a couple exercise dvd's that I like. I love the original tae bo (still have it on vhs!). I have also been trying out different ones from my library... I like the "yoga for dummies" I have never done yoga before, but it was good because they showed you how to do it and breathe and didn't go too fast. my husband liked it to. I would say it wouldn't be good for people who have done yoga before... good luck! I hope you find something you like.

As for me, I weighed in yesterday and lost 2.2 lbs :cool1: I'm hoping to hit the 40 lb mark next week; only 0.8 lbs to go!

I hope everyone has a great week. :goodvibes

Good Morning All! Well we all got through the weekend so that is a good sign. The snow has been making me want comfort food and making me want to bake so that is my challenge. Not to mention that I like a glass of wine in front of the fire. No extra points to spare so I am afraid I may have slipped over a tad :guilty:

WI tonight and I hope the scale moves.....

Oh dear- too many football snacks yesterday! Back to business today. I have all my meals/points planned for today- so that should be better.

We had a good weekend- I took my son to see the stage production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for his 6th b-day. It was great- and I let him choose where to eat 1st- and I was lucky because he chose Chik-Fil-A- I saved $ and points- they have a char-grilled chicken salad that is really good and low in points.

I'm off to enjoy this beautiful, snowy day off. Have a great day, all!

Hi everyone! I had my WI tonight and lost 1.6 pounds.

I have to share a recipe that is really good. I tweak all of my recipes but this one would be amazing without any fiddling.

I do not follow momentum, I am a "simply filling" gal from week 6....yes CORE folks can stay Core.... but point info is included.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

1lb extra lean ground beef, cooked and drained
1 medium onion chopped
1 bag coleslaw mix 16 oz
1 can tomato soup
1/2 tsp pepper
3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup brown rice, cooked and drained
1 tsp salt

Brown ground beef with chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Place half the chopped cabbage on the bottom of a 9x13 pan greased with Pam. Top with half the cooked beef mixture. Spread half the rice over the meat mixture. (You may add the rice directly to the meat mixture and spread over the cabbage) Repeat with a layer of cabbage and another layer of meat mixture. Mix the tomato soup with a can of water. Pour this over the casserole. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 1 hour.

I admit that I did not follow exactly but it was an excellent meal with a salad on the side.

Congrats on your loss! How many servings does this make and how many points per serving?

Nancyg56, slightly_obsessed, wishuponastar1, heatherfeather24, Maxinesmom, Mary Anne, congratulations on your weight loses! :thumbsup2 (If I missed anyone, I'm sorry, it wasn't intentional. )

Well, I weighed in tonight and I am down another pound for a total of 8 pounds so far. I was a bit surprised because this past week, I ended up using a lot of my extra points.

The Y is just down the street from our house but there's no way that I would have time to go. DH & I both work outside the house but there seems to be very little extra time to exercise when we get home. I'm trying to get dinner cooked, the kids have a million things going on....etc. Anyway, we got the Wii Fit for Christmas and we've ALL been exercising on it. It doesn't even really seem like exercising while you're doing it because we're all trying to beat each other's time. You can definitely feel it the next day though!

Me and two other girls in the office are going to start doing Zumba tomorrow during our lunch hour. The express workout is only 20 minutes but I'm SOOO out of shape that I can't even manage that yet!

Tomorrow's WI for me......not sure how I will do. I do great during the week but we went to the movies on Saturday and I ate a LOT of popcorn!

Good luck to everyone this week.....hope everyone has a good week and good WI's.

Nancyg56 - congrats on the loss! that recipe sounds delicious, but I'm not sure if I'll get to try it... my husband has this unnatural distaste for all cruciform vegetables (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts). but he may have to deal. :)

Donald is #1 - congrats on your loss too! I know some people don't use their extra points, but I actually use at least half of them every week, if not all of them. Don't feel guilty about using them, b/c that's what they are there for!

For anyone who is a member of the YMCA, you should check out the YFit program, if you haven't already. It's a free assessment w/ a trainer - they measure your fitness level, figure your percentage of body fat and the trainer you meet with will give you exercises that you can use to meet your goals. I have two more meetings with the trainer to check progress. But it was really helpful because I found out I was not doing weight training properly for my goals. :upsidedow

Hope everyone has great week!
Rachel

Hi all! I just rejoined WW online starting today. So I logged my starting weight and I'll check back next week with my first weigh in.

Thank you. It is getting better now that DH is able to do a little more on his own. Plus we had an unexpected snow day today (although there was no snow in sight) and I have caught up on a lot of things, which allows me to breath a little easier.

Nancyg56 and Donald is #1, congratulations on your losses, that is terrific.

:welcome: msteddom.

Congratulations to all the "losers" here! Thanks for the information about WI as a PP stated I was able to weigh in no problem. So as of today, my second weigh in I was down 1.4 more for a total of 4.4! Considering I didn't "really" get started until a few days after my first meeting, in one week and one day I lost 4.4 lbs and I'm excited about that! Just wanted to share and wish everyone good luck with their weigh ins as well! :wizard:

Congratultions, that is definitely something to be excited about!!! Keep up the great work!:cheer2:

I really am not sure, you would be able to put it into the recipe builder. I follow th a"Simply Filling" program (formerly Core) so I just try to make food with all CORE ingredients whenever possible. I can try to get the info for you.

I have smothered chicken and barley on the stove now. IF it is good I will share the recipe.

slightly-obsessed- My DH was not a fan but he choked it down. He has an aversion to the same veggies as your DH :rotfl2:
