DVC sliders are being shipped for all guests staying on points for stays starting mid-May. AP sliders / bands ship separately. So a DVC member booking a stay, and getting an AP will get TWO sets of bands. Any of them will work for that stay, since they're all linked together. I'd recommend bringing both sets and keeping one set in the room, so that if something happens, you have a backup and don't need to get Guest Services involved.
Also, if your sliders are missing, check all inside the box. Plenty of people (including Kwaschitz above) have indicated that sometimes they get loose in the box and aren't easy to find.
