Wristbands & Room keys for EMH

We will be having a friend stay with us for a few days at AKL (which I hear is $50 extra/night...right?). So, when she checks into our room, they should give her a room key/resort ID for EMH. Do you also need this ID to ride the Disney buses around the property?
The room key/resort ID isn't for EMH, at least not directly. Your friend will need that card to enter any theme park to begin with! Once inside, about 2 hours prior to the usual closing time there will be CMs sprinkled about the park offering EMH bracelets. In order to get a bracelet, each individual age 3 or over must produce a resort ID to prove they are guests at a WDW resort.

Hi Eric- no I think you misunderstood my comment.

Whenever I go we always buy our tickets al la cart. So our room key is never our admission. In the past they have asked me if I would like everyone to have a key...I said no and only me and DH would have two, that way no one loses them etc. So when we attend Early Entry and we are getting on the monorail (at the TTC) I have been asked to show a room key and only one room key was necessary for the entire family. So they would let us on the monorail to go to Early Entry, that's all. So the kids weren't getting in for free, they used their tickets. I just seems to me that they are now going to be wasting a lot of time getting people through the turnstiles. I don't know about you but I'm one of those people who moves through the park to get the rides in early so I'm always impatient when I'm jamming my fingers through the "v" and it's not working!

But I can understand the ebay thing, sort of...I would never want a family getting shafted after they purchased, what they thought was a 5 day hopper when it turns out to only be a 4 day hopper from ebay. But then again they should have a better system where they could easily tell how many days were left on a hopper. I really think it's probably that they don't want to be undersold at an auction website, which in the long run I don't think would really effect sales all that much. People still spend a bajillion dollars at the parks anyway.

Mindbender check on that extra person rate... I always thought it was $20 per night not $50.
