WPF&M option and adding on days to ticket later?

DH and I heading down this summer and currently planning on buying 3 day base ticket plus WPF&M option. from what i understand, if i want to add on days after i purchase the tickets i have to do it before park closing on the last day of use. if this is my current plan, can someone explain on what day i would need to add an extra day onto my tickets?? (would it be day 4 or day 6?)

day 1 - MK
day 2 - EP
day 3 - TL and mini golf
day 4 - HS
day 5- Universal
day 6 - BB
day 7 - hotel day or additional park

also, the additional cost of the "4th" day would about $30 right?

so basically our tickets will be "loaded" with 3 main parks plus 3 other attraction visits. as long as any of those 6 "items" are unused (within 14 days) i can add on another day?

heck, for $20 or $30 i might as well just get 4 day tickets up front!

1. Yes.
2. You can still do the upgrade ON the same day as you use the last asset.
(It does not have to be done BEFORE you use the last asset.)
3. Yup. And then, you could make advance FP+ reservations for all 4 days.
