Not that I condone any type of abuse but I wonder WTH Rihanna said or did to get that reaction from him. They have been dating for a while. We would have seen something beforehand. Something big went down.

People who have anger issues and beat other people can go off at anything. I no, we wouldn't have known, since reports are saying this is not the first time he's abused her.

I really hope you're not suggested that it was her fault for something she said.

How would "we' have seen something before? Sometimes, even families of abused women don't even know that they are abused b/c the victim covers for the abuser. Whatever she might have said or done is irrelevant-she ended up in the hospital from him hitting her. No excuse for it period. I'm baffled by the fact that people are making excuses for this guy.(Not directed at you-I'm actually talking about some conversations I overheard at the gym and somethings I've read online)

Sounds like there was a history of abuse. Continuing the cycle he endured as a child.

I heard his stepdad on the radio and he said that Chris Brown made up alot of the abuse to make himself look a certain way to his fans.

Now whether that was true or not remains to be seen.

Those pictures say it all. I don't care WHAT she might have said or did- unless she had a gun to his head and he was defending himself (she probably weighs 110# tops!0 There is NO justification.

Yea, she is a taller girl, 5'8 and has said she tries really hard to maintain her weight at 130 pounds. So not really able to defend herself. Chris Brown is I think 6'2 though so he's considerably taller than her. That picture is so sad...I saw it last night. Poor thing.

That's what a lot of performers, especially rappers, do.

Went and looked it up,. Chris said in August 2007 that his stepdad beat his mother when Chris was young. It seems to me that the previous "alleged" abuse wasn't such a big issue to the stepdad until Chris GOT CAUGHT beating up Rihanna...
