WOW - I just sold my old gold........

I'm leery of sending my valuables to a website with so many typos on it!!

One example:
6. Are there any hidden fees involved in processing my gold?

No. There are absolutely no fees that you will incure when you deal with us.

Are they legit? I've got tons of little random gold pieces that I'd love to send out to *someone*!!

I'm definitely not an English major...but where is the typos? I'm not seeing it.

This site is legit. Lots of peopke have been paid by them over the last 2 years her on Dis. I recieved a check from them as well.

Typos notwithstanding, they're totally legit. If you do a search in this thread for USGB or US Goldbuyers, you'll probably find at least a hundred or so people who were very, very satisfied with their payout.

Present company included, to the tune of $3,100...which was almost twice what a reputable local jeweler offered me.

Can someone tell me about gold jewelry with stones? I have several pieces that have some diamonds, opals, rubies and other stones in the them. The diamonds are small or chips, but i do have an old heart( ions ago) that had 1 ct in diamonds.

My understanding from them is they base it on the size of the stones, and they will give you some value for them. Just not a lot

I just saw on the news that gold is now at an all time high!

After I got my $295 check, I sent in more gold that I found while cleaning the house. They just called and I am getting almost $400 this time!!! Almost $700 in gold that I had no use for and didn't even remember I had. We still have one heavy broken necklace missing and when I find it, it will be going to USGB!

Congrats:thumbsup2 Did you send in a lot??

I finally sent mine in to USGB and they are paying me $250 more than the local dealer was going to pay a month ago. I know the prices have gone up but not that much. It was only 7 necklaces, 3 bracelets and 2 charms. So I am now getting over 500 for the jewelry that the kids won't wear anymore since they are not into yellow gold, only white gold.:dance3:

Thanks Gracie1 they told me they have a gemmologist on staff to help with precious stones and they will compensate.

Does anyone know if they reimburse for USPS? My email with the directions says for your convenience you can also us USPS. I dont want to miss fedex and i can easily print out a USPS label. Unless, does fed ex gives you a specific time?

Just go to Fed Ex's website and it will list all the drop locations. I dropped it in a box late in the day, probably only sat in the box for an hour.

No, I don't think that is true. I sent in over a Karat of diamonds and got nothing for them. I have read a few have gotten something, but only after they mentioned it to the person that called.

When they called me they told me about the stones and their allotment. But that was the nice guy (I forgot his name) There is another one there that doesn't seem so nice.

How long does it usually take to get the email from them outlining your instructions? I called several hours ago and still have nothing.

(being impatient because now I want to mail it off!!!)

I just called and am waiting for my email, too!

I want to ask you all, and I couldn't find the answer-what do you send the items IN? Like, an envelope? Does FedEx give you a certain envelope?

Still no email. I called roughly 7 hours ago. Am I being too impatient? I'm wondering if they don't have my email addy right.

Oh well. I'll call them tomorrow if I've heard nothing. Maybe they're super busy right now?
