WOW - I just sold my old gold........

I visited US Gold Buyers's office in Manhattan to sell my gold, and they are most definitely legit. The buyer weighed my pieces right in front of me and showed me how he calculated my payout. I walked out with $380 in cash.

I have no idea what a local jewler would have given me, but USGB gave me $533. When I sent it in I told my husband I would be happy with $100, so you can imagine how happy I was with what I got. Not a scam!

I said the exact thing to my dh and they paid me $475! This "scam" just made my final payment to Disney!!! With a thread this long you can't just jump in on the tail end and comment without a little research. Give the posters on here a little credit would you?

Cha ching!! I just got my call and my payout is $462. I also got the Airborne settlement today and it was $35. The whole USGB experience was painless and so worth it. I can't believe I waited so long!!

I've read through lots of pages of this thread but still have a question. Has anyone had any luck with gold coins and these companies? I have a huge bag full of them and am wondering if it would be worth it. They're not all solid gold, most of them have other metals in them. Does that matter? Plus, how do you estimate how much you'll get? I saw the chart on the USGB site but I'm still not real clear on how to calculate-maybe I'm just slow.

I had a jeweler quote me today and they quoted $100 less than USGoldBuyers. Hubby just ran to Fed EX I'll be getting $271 plus what they give me for any stones/diamonds.

It would have gone out on Tuesday so I would say that you should have it by Friday or Saturday (Monday at the latest or maybe even by tomorrow )

Thanks to this thread and everyone on here that commented on USGB I will be able to pay off my DW trip for this coming June. Sent off 1 broken bracelet 1 ring and 1 earring cuz I lost the other and got a payout of $277.00. Thanks everyone!

Just a tip - - with USGB you can also use your paypal account to get the money too! My money was put directly into my account within 20 minutes of receiving the call - no waiting for a check was definetly worth the very minimal paypal transaction fee! All you do from there is transfer it to your bank account - again, quick and easy. I've done it twice now, and it's been amazingly quick!

This is definitely not a scam! My husband was skeptical when I first told him about it, thinking a local jeweler might give more, but I went ahead with my DIS friends' recommendations. Today I have a check in hand for $240.21, and I mailed my stuff out last Friday! I had .423 oz of gold and a little bit of silver that didn't get very much (approx $9 and I weighed what I had of that, 1.9 oz.).

Nope, Not a scam - just make sure you are going to the right place or it could be a scam. There are some gold buying scammers out there, but not the place we are using on this thread. People were jumping onto the thread not READING it ahead of time.
