How long did it take to get the email with instructions? I called this morning and haven't gotten my email- should I call back or wait a bit longer? I hate calling places- wish you could just sign up online!

Make sure to check your junk or spam mail folder just in case it went in there. If you don't have it in there then I would call them again. Your email address may have been taken down or typed incorrectly. It really wouldn't be a big deal for them to send it again.

BTW, sent my package on Fri afternoon, had my quote on Monday afternoon and received my check today

Yeah, ended up having it resent from their chat window- I don't know what he took down as my address originally! Got the paperwork already and will mail everything out tomorrow.

It's a little exciting to send out trash items that I don't use- regardless of the outcome. I know I won't be getting 1K like a few of you, but that's okay too

OK! So I sent my stuff out yesterday, and told hubby I thought it might be about $300 -- they called late this afternoon, $297! Boy can I peg it . I didn't get any other estimates, so I'm pleased with this. It'll pay the boarding bill for the doggie while we do Disney! I'm sure we'll have more fun than the doggie will.

I sent my stuff to USGoldbuyers.com on Monday, they called me on Tuesday, with a quote, I accepted it, and I am awaiting my check of $220. I am taking the $ with me to by some stuff at the 1/2 Princess Marathon on March 8, 2009. I hope it comes in the next few days.

I am SO excited! We've sold gold several times and have been pleased but check this out:

At work (retirement community) we have a cash n carry. It's kindof an indoor yard sale. Residents donate items that they don't need or want anymore and the money raised goes to the resident life fund. Anyway, last week I found an 18K ring and a 14K ring. They were both damaged and not pretty. I paid $3 for one and $2 for the other.

USGB just called and offered me $100!! I know it's not a ton. But it is a $95 profit. I am going to have to start checking out Cash n Carry more often!!!

Sure would be nice if the check gets here before we leave on Saturday for WDW.

I got my quote from USGB on a Thursday and my check arrived on Monday, so you probably will get your check in time for your trip! (and this was recently for me...2 weeks ago).

So glad I found this thread! I have so much gold that I just don't wear anymore. Ya know, back from the 80's when I was a teenager and gold was so *in*? Anyway, has anyone sent in any jewelry with stones in it and trusted the company to give them a good price for the stones? I have a couple of rings with stones in them, one of them has a diamond (no sentimental value to me, and even if I pop it out and keep it, it will just sit around here until I find a place to bring it anyway). Just wondering if anyone has sold anything other than gold. Thanks

Good luck!! I followed mine pretty closely. They signed for it about 10:00 a.m. and I got my call around 3:15 p.m. Then, I had my check just a few days later. Thanks to my gold, we're going to splurge and go to Disney in July!!! I'm so excited. We wouldn't be going if I wouldn't have found this thread!

WooHoo! I just requested the info via the USGB website and received an email a few hour later. I'm going to get it ready tonight and take to FedX office tomorrow. I really don't know what I have. Some stuff is definitely 14k but there's some other pieces that were bought 30 years ago and no marking. I tried the magnet test and eliminated a couple of items. We'll see how it works out.
