I called Fed ex and they're coming for pickup. Do I have to pay for the shipping for USGB when Fedex takes the package?

No....go to their website, and there is a form you can download, just follow the instructions as to how to fill out the fedex form....they pay for the shipping.

For those of you that have done the mail in to either USGB or GoldFellow, do you get a detailed receipt or anything to know the weight of your items & how much you got for them? Or do they tell you that over the phone when they give you your quote?

I did leave some silver in the package. I wish I would have gotten the breakdown on the phone, but the guy sounded anxious to get off the phone. I didn't prod him because I was just thrilled at what he offered!
If I get anything when the check comes, I'll come back and post.

I would see about selling it to a local jeweler, or pawn shop, or Ebay.
Don't advertise it in a newspaper.
If you are going to have an estate sale, or garage sale, see what offers you might receive. I would first go to a jewelery store, and ask for an unofficial appraisal of the set.

What happens to jewelry with stones in it? I have a bracelet from an ex that has 5 little diamonds in it that amount to about 1/2 carat and then a ring from the same ex with 1/2 carat ruby in the middle of it. I don't want the jewelry but I'd like to get something for the stones too, they should be worth something. Does USGB pay for the stones too, does any of the other gold dealers? Thanks!!!
