I printed out the stuff for Gold Fellow, and I don't see anywhere on the forms to let them know I am a Dis board member. How/where do you let them know?

I wrote that I was a DIS member w/ my DIS user name on the bottom of my gold fellow slip in the remarks section. My settlement quote did state DIS upgrade given....

I forgot to put I was a Dis member on the papers. I did email them and gave them my name, address and tracking number. I hope they get it and that was enough info.

I was also glad to see the market is closed today and prices cannot drop much more by Monday when mine is delivered.

I have been watching this thread and it has inspired me to get my gold together- three hoop earnings (that have no matches), broken necklace, class ring etc that I have been holding on to for years.

I took it to the local pawn shop and was offered 130.00! What? They were mostly 18K gold. So I was a little disappointed.

Looks like I will give Gold Fellow a try and mention the disboards. I will let you know how it turns out.

Looks a lot like what I have. Except I have more herrigbones! *LOL* Everything from the original very stiff ones to super flexible ones. Lengths from 16" to 30."

I did pull out the riccio bracelet. I don't know if I'll ever wear the thing, but it is gorgeous and I really appreciate the workmanship. I suppose I could frame it! *LOL*

I rummaged thru my jewelery box and found 3 broken 14K gold chains. 2 herringbone 18" and one very fine(dainty) link chain. I brought it to a coin/estate seller, and got $116 for them. Not sure if I got a good deal, but they weren't anything sitting in my drawer broken. So thanks!

It makes me nervous that people who sent their gold in after me are getting settlements

After arguing with the boyfriend about this, he finally gave in. Then, after doing the math, he fully supports it. Then gold plummets! Hopefully on Monday, when I try to send it in, they'll take it and it comes back up. I can't wait!

I got the email with the shipping instructions, but then I called in to see if I could include my silver in the package, and that's when I was told to hold my package until Friday
Now the price of gold is falling...hopefully it goes back up by the time they get my package.

I thought I read somewhere that we are supposed to get paid whatever the price of gold was on the day they received our package ! I wish I wrote down what that was

Me too! They do give you the price based on the day they received it.

They received my package early Tuesday morning and called me last night, 7pmish. They offered me $561 but to be honest it seems really low - I had 1.9 troy ounces of gold and 7 ounces of silver and they offered me $561.04. The silver was worth $71 and the gold the rest. Except for one small item the gold was 14K. Something doesn't add up to me, it would be worth more than what they are offering so I am stuck right now. I told them not to do anything and they said they would "put it in the vault."

Also, it's $15 to send back the things you don't want to sell / they don't want.

I'm thinking on it. Really, it was stuff I don't use. Still, I don't want to get majorly ripped off - just because I want to sell it.

I know how you feel. They called last night and offered me $411. All was 14k except for a few that were 10K. Local shop had offered $360 with out the 10K.
