My friend took her kids on Friday and she said it was terrible.

Lisa loves Pooh said:I wonder if the reviewers knew this movie is for CHILDREN. Childern do not need thought provoking material. They like a good ending and this had one...predictable or otherwise.
(The only thing I thought predictable was that it would all end nicely tied up with a pretty little bow. B/c it is a kid's movie about an underdog...or in this case..an underchicken.)
One of the BEST comedic movies out there but some people dislike it!

The theatre was full of children but most of them got restless about halfway through. I heard a little girl further down our aisle asking her mom if they could leave now. There were a lot of really slow parts in the movie.
It was ok--just not very memorable and not as good as other Disney movies like Lion King, the Incredibles, Toy Story. Even though I'm an adult and my "baby" is 15, we usually love to go to Disney movies. Neither of us thought this one was that great. Mildly amusing but not great. And I couldn't even tell you what the songs were like--I don't remember them at all.
Deb in IA said:Since it exceeded even Disney's expectations, and raked in an estimated $40.1 million this past weekend, I don't think the studio cares about the reviews . . .
