I also need to say thanks for all the great tips and info! Not just because you have SOOO many great details and an awesome web site...
now that I have visited other boards, Barb's posts are always well-thought-out and factual - it seems that SO many people who have lots of info and experiences BUT are not kind when they reply...sometimes they turn threads into nasty grams....

The helpful atmosphere is one reason that I really love the DIS boards. I've seen message boards that were very cliquish, where newcomers were made to feel very unwelcome. DIS is a place where newbies can come to find out virtually anything. There are occasional trolls, but thankfully that is the exception rather than the rule. I always try to respond respectfully because that's how I'd like people to respond to me. If this wasn't such a great place, I never would have stuck around to reach 5000!

Congratulations to all of you 5000'ers and a great big thank you to each of you.

Barb, you are the one responsible for me finding these boards. In fact I access the boards through your castaway website in my favorites box. (I am a big BIG computer dummy and DH has made me little boxes to get me where I want to go).

Andy and Rae, you guys are truly my good buddies!! I have learned so much from you. And anyone who does such kind things (the postcard, etc.) for my DGD is a true winner in my book!!

All my fellow DISers have been such a blessing to me. I have smiled, laughed, cried, and learned so much these past few months. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
