It would be about a mile (which is about the distance from Epcot to Hollywood Studios)

I said no. I routinely stay at Epcot resorts. The walkway to Epcot, from the resorts, usually has a fair number of people on it. But, the walkway to DHS? Nope. The vast majority take the boat. And when leaving Epcot, heading to DHS? Very few people walk it, they take the boat, even though walking it is faster.

See, I said yes for just the opposite of this. We always use the walkway between the Epcot resorts and HS and usually even walk from HS to Epcot.

We use the walkway and it's the main reason The Boardwalk is our favorite resort. I love AKL, love the food, love the design, layout, the sunsets but I hate the inability to walk to the closest resort. A fun, educational, themed walkway would be awesome.

Ah, but we are in the minority!!! I always laugh at the people in the line for the boat to DHS at BW. I know I'm going to get there a lot faster than they are!! But, most people still take that boat. I can't imagine that it would be much different at AKL...not to mention that some of the rooms are practically in another city!!! That really adds to the time on your feet!!!

I would think it would be no different than the walk to MK from CR. Of course, I don't actually see them putting a walkway between the park and the lodge at AK because, well there is the whole animal issue. We did do the walk between Kadani and Jambo House when we were there instead of waiting on the shuttle, it wasn't a very pretty walk since it was through the parking lots but it was faster than waiting on the shuttle.

Most definitely! IF they made a walkway between the two - I would use it. That would be so much fater than dealing with the bus.

Yes! We frequently walk from DHS to Epcot as I strongly dislike the boats.

It wouldn't have to get near any enclosures. If they just started a pathway from the end of the bus stop it would be a little over a mile and could just follow the existing roads. Black Lake Rod would take some finagling but it's definitely doable.

Yes, I would. Like you, LSUFan, the ability to walk to HS and Epcot makes BWI my favorite resort (YC a close second, haven't stayed at BC yet.)

On our recent (first) stay at AKL, we commented on how we love the 'secluded' aspect of the resort. We're AP, so we often spend half days just lounging around the resort and we felt it was more 'resort-like' since it was a distance. HOWEVER, we would definitely have loved a path to AK since it's our favorite of all.

I would rather love being able to cycle on such a pathway. If Disney could provide guests with free bikes at both ends, that would be awesome!
