We'll be there for a few days the end of October. Friday is our last evening there and the calendar shows Fantasmic at 9:00 & 10:30 & fireworks at 9:25. I have little ones so we won't be able to stay up for the 10:30 Fantasmic. That leaves us with the 9:00 F! or 9:25 fireworks. I've never seen the fireworks and my kids haven't seen either (I haven't seen Fantasmic for probably 8 years & LOVE it). What would you do? Which one would be easier to get decent seats with least amount of time spent waiting? I'm kind-of leaning toward Fantasmic since it's earlier and I do love it but I'm not sure. :goodvibes

With LITTLE kids, I'd do the fireworks. Fantasmic can be really frightening for them and it's hard to find a place to sit/stand where they can get a really good view of it. The fireworks are so magical and with Tinkerbell flying through and all, kids just LOVE them. And you can stand just about anywhere on Main St. facing the castle and get a really good view.

I would do fantasmic, you can then watch the fireworks from where you sitting for fantasmic. The view is not as good for the fireworks as if you were standing in the hub, but you still get the music and get to see the show.

The other advantage is they won't cancel fantasmic due to wind, which is always a possiblity with the fireworks. So if you opted for the fireworks in the hub, you could miss fantasmic, have waited an hour + for you seats for the fireworks, and they cancel them. At that point you have seen neither.

I hadn't even thought about the fireworks canceling possibility. That would be awful. Where's the best/easiest place to get good seats for Fantasmic and how early do you think we'd need to be there? Can you save seats around you with a blanket or jackets?

SO, the Fantasmic show only lasts 25 minutes? Looks like you are saying that they should watch 9PM Fantasmic then when it ends just turn their head a little and watch 9:25 fireworks. Hmmm.....I would have thought Fantasmic was longer than that.

I am asking this question as I had one similar.

Also, I think I remembered hearing that 10:30 was easier to get a seat for and you wouldn't have to hold spots so early in the day. Is that correct? Also wondering if people know if rides are lower lines with the 9 or 10:30 shows.

Thanks!

The best seats are a little off center, wait time depends on how crowded it is, but I see people out there as early as 2 hours ahead.

I have walked up and had pretty good places to view as close as 15 minutes prior but I wouldn't count on that.

Yes you can use a blanket or jacket to save a "reasonable" amount of space. I only saw one person getting talked to, she had a king size blanket spread out in a very crowded space. The CM told her if her family didn't show up in 10 minutes she would have to fold up the blanket. But that was about 20 minutes prior to show time as well.

Fantasmic is about 20 minutes long, there is a short break where they ask you to keep your seats to watch the fireworks, I guess they don't want a mad dash of people trying to get the hub.

Yes the 10:30 show is much easier on seating and how long you have to wait, that is always my preference at this point, but the OP said her kids wouldn't make it to the 10:30 showing.

If your going to the 10:30 show you can watch the fireworks from the hub, then go and find a place to watch fantasmic with no problem.

Lines at rides will go down somewhat during the shows, so it just depends on if you want to ride or watch the shows. Personally I think the both fantasmic and the fireworks are not to be missed, and have gotten all of my rides in before then.

one exeption is you must ride BTMRR at night to really get the most out of that ride.

yep...F is 25 min long....and yes 10:30 is easier to get a seat but OP cant stay to wait for the 10:30 spot...but just so you know, there are a ton of people who go to the 10:30 show and Ive had to get my spot as soon as they drop the rope and wait for 40 minutes till the show started....and yes people do know the rides have lower lines...but if you want to watch F! it really doesnt apply to you because your sitting your bootie waiting for the show:rotfl:
