One of the high schools in my area has these as a fund rasier. It is a full year calendar, and every Monday-Friday throughout the entire year, there is a cash prize. On Sunday Holidays, there are cash prizes. It's over $17,000 worth of cash, and if your name gets pulled, you go back in the drawing, so you have as many chances to win throughout the year.
The calendar itself is purse size. It has an address book in the back, and a place to list birthdays and anniversaries. It cost $20. I bought one for myself, and one for my MIL. I filled in her information on the registration card. So, if she wins, she will be directly contacted, not me. The prizes start Jan 1, 2010..the New Year's day prize is $1000!
I thought it would be a cool gift, but now I am second guessing myself. It won't be her main gift, but what would you think about getting a fundraiser for a gift?
