Would You "Host" Another DIS Family?

Kind of inspired by my "Where haven't you been?" thread.

If a DISer wanted to visit a famous place near your home, would you let them stay with you?

I think I might. :) Depending on certain factors of course - like how long have I "known" them, etc.

I already extended an invitation, GG, what do you want me to do, engrave it? :p

In all seriousness, I'd host a friend from the DIS from the standpoint of spending time with them when they are here in town, take them to the must see places, etc., but my house is too tiny for overnight company. We can barely have another child here to sleepover, let alone another adult or two. But I have and will continue to meet people who come to D.C. for a visit, as long as they are people I want to meet! :)

Depending on the DISer: yes.
If you happen to come to Belgium, just let me know. I have "hosted" "ebay-friends" that way too.

I don't think I'd have room in my house, but I'd help them find a good place to stay, and I'd take them out and show them around!

Of course, were talking about someone I've "known" for a while and have a good feeling about, not just anybody. Someone I knew less well I might consider just meeting in a public place for a drink, but I wouldn't drive them around.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I booked an OKW grand villa that sleep 12. I have 10 people booked in the room. I was thinking about the other 2 spots. LOL

I thought, "What if I offered someone on the DIS to stay with us in the GV."

Then I thought how my DH would have me committed! LOL

Yes, I probably would too. My husband and I are naturally hospitality people and in the past we've housed families, etc. It would also depend on the Diser if I "known" them.

Oh geez, I missed the invite!

But engraving is nice too. ;)

Right now, I wouldn't be able to have any guests, as I'm living with the parental figures. ;)

But when my new house is done, I'd squeeze people in.
