My wife and I have always thought that DTD should include a bowling alley. We think a Disney themed bowling alley would be awsome. You could have a different theme on every lane, with Disney bowling balls, shoes, etc....

If they had a bowling alley at Disney, would you go?

They're currently building a bowling alley at the World of Sports Complex.

Interesting question. Disney themed we probably would. Why not we already do the putt putt thing. Plus a great idea for a rainy day besides disneyquest.

Absolutely! My family has always talked about how fun it would be to have a disney themed bowling alley at DTD.
Neat to put it at the WWOS, but we felt they'd get more people in at DTD since it seems to be easier to transport there...and more people tend to be at DTD.
But hey..what do we know? lol

The bowling alley they are building at WWS will be one of the largest in the country, at about 100 lanes. I'm not sure of the organization names, but the largest open and women's bowling associations have contracted to have their major championship tournaments there for several years.

Is it going to be a "Disney" themed bowling alley, or more like the one we can find in our local area....except bigger?

Thats good to hear, but can NON-Orgainization People bowl there, like normal Mom/Pops/Kiddos etc? I think the OP was talking about a nice Bowling Alley that ANYONE can bowl on not just for Competition/Leagues etc.

I would definitely go on "off" time. I love midnight bowling so a Disney theme would be awesome!

It is not just going to be there for the tournaments. However, while tournaments are in progress they may be few, if any, lanes available during the tournament hours.

I doubt the new WWOS one being Disney 'themed' if they're planning on holding competitions there.

But, I would use an on-site alley on our trips if it was all Disney'd up! :goodvibes I think it'd be rather cute.

We definitely would! How much fun would that be?!?!

How about the pins painted up as Disney Villains! Or for the 10 year old boys, pins painted as Disney Princesses and a Pirate "canon" ball? Oh my the possibilities are endless....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It might be something we'd do as a post-dinner trip, since we go during the slower seasons when the parks are often closed well before we're ready to call it a night. But if it isn't themed and is just another bowling alley, I doubt it.

There's a bowling alley at Universal Studios CityWalk in Hollywood. I went there once for an outing at a seminar I attended at the Sheraton there.

Yeah, I've always thought this could be a good idea. I like all the themeing ideas already posted. I also think they might bring back roller skating like they once had at PI originally...but this time without the alcohol.
