Would you get sponsors this way?

Hi, just wondered if anyone has ever taken the sponsor forms with them and asked people if they needed sponsoring, desperate I know, but wondered if it was worth a try. I am going back on 21 October and would like to try and fill my forms, would also be grateful for and glad to sponsor anyone reading this.

Never heard of anyone doing it but if you as you say might be worth trying

Maybe people don't do it because it's forbidden and might result in excluding both sponsor and sponsoree from the sponsorship program?

One of the general sponsorship conditions on back of the sponsoring form, translated by me.

And I think it would be more than just "desperate", too.

The sponsor offer IMHO is a thing to let your friends and families share the magic experience. So there should always the demand be first. Desperately trying to find "12 people to sponsor" (like I read it) might definitely reach the limit of the "personal" circle the offer intentionally might have been meant for.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea to connect the forum users to mutually benefits. We're kind of "personal" here, aren't we? But the "brokerage" should be practiced in moderation. Lurking at the Resort just because no friend yet wanted to get sponsored (maybe all of them already have an AP? is more a SPAM-like kind of promotion, don't you think?

Sorry didn’t know it was against the rules and didn’t mean to offend, as it happens I am taking seven first time guest with me when I go in October, when I worked the best option for them it was One full and One child under 7 free, the other 5 family members would be better off with the 20% discount than my 10% sponsor discount.

Don’t know where you got this from I have four AP and already have 7 sponsors.

Indeed, this wasn't meant offensive, I just quoted the biggest count I remembered *lol*

And as Cyrano said (and me too), it's great that we have the sponsor thread, because it let the DIS users easily match their offer and need of APs ))

Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh, I just wanted to point out generally, not personally!, my point of view!
