Below is the list of our table service restaurants we have ADR's for our upcoming trip in October. Any thoughts on them? Specific items we should get at specific places? Anything else? Looking forward to hearing people responses. We will be eating dinner at each of these places. :thumbsup2

T-Rex -- Went here last year and loved it
Tony's Town Square
Nine Dragons
Cape May Cafe -- Excited for the crab legs
House of Blues
JiKo
Le Cellier
Big River Grille & Brewing Work

I've eaten at several on your list, but Cape May stands out - my family loves it, esp. DS13.

He always wants to have dinner there twice during our trips. Loves all the seafood! We're eating there next month. Can't wait!

I'm going to move this to our restaurant board.

We're eating at both Le Cellier and Cape May Cafe this trip. I've been to The House of Blues before at it was also good. Enjoy! :goodvibes

Jiko is one of our favorites! We'll be heading there on our next trip.

Me and my DGF heard about Cape May on our last trip when we ate at Captain's Grille. We were talking to our waiter about our love for sea food and esp. crab legs and he suggested we try Cape May. Ever since then we already knew it was a must do on our upcoming trip. Looking very forward to it.

Nine Dragons
No. I experienced once. The food is okay, but tables are too close and noise level especially high. There are so more interesting venues at Epcot.

JiKo
YES! Definitely among my top-3 (with California Grill and Flying Fish).

T-Rex & Big River Grille both look fun, I'd go to those. I've been to Tony's and liked it, would go there again.

The only one on your list I'd skip is House of Blues. Have read too many negative reviews about it. Nine Dragons would not be a priority for me either.

Would definitely try Cape May Cafe, Jiko, & Le Cellier.

We loved Tony's Town Square. I am a huge Lady and the Tramp fan so that helped a little :) but my fiance and I thought the food was great too. Our other favorite on your list is LeCellier. The fillet mignon can't be beat. If you are on the dining plan and didn't know, LeCellier at dinner time now counts as 2 TS credits, but lunch is still only 1.

Wont be on the dining plan this time around, hoping for a % off room discount instead this time around :confused3, so all meals will be payed OOP.

Tony's was a pleasant surprise for us last trip. We accidentally ended up on the DxDP and made some last minute additions to our ADRs, including that one. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We got to eat out in the sun room. I recommend requesting that area.

Cape May Clam Bake is by far my favorite buffet and I am allergic to shellfish, and I do not eat any type of seafood. We had an 8 PM ADR, and it was wonderful having a nice, quiet dinner not feeling like you are eating on top of the people next to you. All of the food was fresh and hot, and dd/dh got to eat seafood, something we NEVER eat at home!

T-Rex -- Went here last year and loved it
Tony's Town Square
Nine Dragons
Cape May Cafe -- Excited for the crab legs
House of Blues

T-Rex-- No. I don't mind noise, but this place makes my ears bleed.

Tony's Town Square-- Maybe. Not a real fan of any TS in MK, but TTS was ok. I usually head over to Ohana, Grand Floridian Cafe, or WCC.

Nine Dragons-- No. I just have a hard time doing Chinese when at WDW

Cape May Cafe-- Yes. While I feel the buffet food is ok, you can't beat all the crab legs you can eat.

House of Blues-- NO. Been to them in Cleveland, Boston, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles and Orlando. Been there done that.

Jiko-- Yes, Yes, Yes. Best option of the ones you listed. Very good food and would go again.

Le Cellier-- No, No, No. Biggest hype and biggest let down of any place I have ever been to in WDW. And if going during dinner, no way am I paying signature price or if on DDP using 2ts for this place.

Big River Grille-- No. Very average food and very average service the only time I have been there.

Again, these are all my opinion based on my own experiences. If you have not been to any of these try them out yourself and form your own opinions. Enjoy your visit to WDW. :thumbsup2

We enjoyed Cape May and Le Cellier. I also enjoyed Tony's and dont really understand all the hate it gets on the boards

T-Rex -- I liked it but since you loved it then go for it.

Tony's Town Square - Never been so can't comment on

Nine Dragons - Do yourself a favor and pick something else
.
Cape May Cafe - Will be trying it for the first time myself this year so I'm happy to see the good responses on this thread.

House of Blues - Average but restaurant.com has good discounts for here. So it's great if you are on a budget.

JiKo - Yes but that's not my personal opinion since I've never been. That's from the family and friends that have been.

Le Cellier - I loved it but they took my favorites away when it changed to a signature restaurant. So now not so much.

Big River Grille & Brewing Work - You could do better.

An accident in life I actually wouldn't mind! :rotfl: How did that happen?

I'll speak to the ones we've eaten at...

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Jiko. Quite possibly the best restaurant on property. We've eaten there three times and have loved it each time!

Le Cellier - I've eaten here more times than I can remember, and I still really like it. You'll hear people on the extremes of both sides of the Le Cellier love/hate debate. We love it. Doing it again this upcoming trip for the umpteenth time.

Cape May Cafe - did this only once a few trips ago. It was good. We are doing it again on our upcoming trip because they added the crab legs. I am ALL ABOUT those crab legs....mmmmm.......

Ok so after reading some posts here and other places I decided to cancel my Nine Dragons reservation and go with Hollywood Brown Derby. Thoughts? :thumbsup2

My own personal thoughts....

You will see good and bad reviews for every single Disney restaurant. So look at the menus and decide what looks good to you, then try it out for yourself. Nobody is going to like every restaurant.

We personally don't like the food at DHS, so we don't eat there. (Did Sci Fi for fun - won't do it again until we have kids - it's a fun atmosphere, and the food was fine, but too "ordinary" for us food-wise.)

People are always changing and rearranging their ADR's based on the reviews they see here, and I've been going to Disney long enough to know that I only trust my own experience at any of these places.

Let's take Le Cellier for example. We've eaten there more than any other Disney restaurant. We love it. Any one we've taken there loves it. I've always had great food and excellent service. But then people come on these boards whining about how over-rated it is and how they won't go back. I've been going there long enough to know that I like it and won't be swayed by these nay-sayers. They don't have to like it, but I do, and ultimately, that's what counts.

So - go where you think looks good and make your own opinion of whether or not you'll go back there.

T-Rex -- Fun place, loved the chicken, avacado sandwich, don't remember the name.

Tony's Town Square--Only went once and that was enough, was not impressed at all, liked Mama Melrose much better.

Nine Dragons--Never been

Cape May Cafe -- Never been, but on my list for our next trip

House of Blues--Really disappointed, thought the service and food were not good at all.

JiKo--Never been, heard good things though

Le Cellier--Love, Love Love it! One of our favorites, go evertime for lunch and get the "Chef's Menu" well worth it!

Big River Grille & Brewing Work --Never ate their, but the beer was good!:)
