Say you were in a long relationship, it ended, and you both went your separate ways. (sort of amicably) Anyways, a while later, you meet this guy. You really like him and he likes you. But you realize he's an old friend of your ex. They don't talk very much anymore, and this new guy is okay with it. Do you go ahead and go out on a date, or out of respect for your ex, do you say no?

(and you can't go back and ask your ex what he feels about it
either)

:)

If we hit it off and I was attracted to him then yes I would.

You better date him before Beauty, Preshi, and A Kid At Heart beat you to it. They sound interested. :)

In all seriousness, if you like him, go out with him.

Alright then! thanks for your opinions and may I say they were the ones I wanted to read!;)

I don't think that should be a problem....go for it!:)

Date him. Life is too short to worry about little things like that . Enjoy!!

I'd date him. It doesn't sound like they're close enough to be competitive. Of course, that's assuming he doesn't know any embarrassing secrets about you. ;) :teeth:

Oh yeah, there's this guy, you like him and you want to go out with him. But, in the past, he just happened to know someone you were close to. So, of course he's off limits.

LOL, Are you crazy or somthin, GO OUT WITH HIM!!! :teeth: :teeth:

yep, go out with him, tough luck to the ex.

I see absolutely no reason why you shouldn't date him. Go for it :)

IMO, if he's your ex and you care what he feels he shouldn't be your ex. Do you tihnk the ex would offer the same respect to you. I'd go on the date.
