It's been about 14 years since I had a bad haircut, and that's because I found someone very good at cutting hair then and have stuck with her.

The only thing I do to my hair is get it cut. I don't perm or color it. It's fine, thin and straight. I keep it between chin and shoulder length; sometimes I have bangs, sometimes not and it's usually layered. The only thing I have going on is my cut, so it has to be good.

I had extensions. They can look great, but they're also not as low maintenance as you would think. In fact, they bordered on PIA.

And they're pricey. Upkeep is pricey.

I don't know if I'd do it.

I call it a man-cut. I've had them several times...not because I wanted it that way. I've found that some beauticians just don't listen to what you say. I've taken in pictures. I've explained in great detail. I've told them exactly how much I want taken off. It hasn't helped. Fortunately, I found a lady recently who does listen. OP, hang in there.
