Very curious on everyones thoughts on this. Personaly, I would be ok to win it but still it seems a little pointless. If you could use it a week like rent a magic...hmm. Still.

Two part Poll, Pick as many as work for you.

Note: i am not busting them on the idea before I see it just was hoping to own permenant flying carpet and treasurer finder since inferno is out of reach. It may be better then i picture, just want your thoughts

Depends on what the magic is. If it was a Buried in Treasure magic that actually gave you all the coins that fell then yes i would love it. :thumbsup2 I am just going to wait and see before pass judgement . The VMK staff hasnt let us down so far

yeah it sounds like he's pulling the ol' rent-a-magic-for-a-week on us :rotfl2: but i would still buy these pins, they probably only last a certain amount of time because they must do/give stuff that's really kewl? :confused3

I have no idea if I'd want to buy these or not.

If they were, as someone else mentioned, a type of fast pass that get's you into a staff room quicker or gives you lots of credits or items, then yes. I would be interested in that.

But to want to spend money on magic that changes my costume for only a few seconds and then it's gone forever is not worth it.
Maybe if it changed your costume into something you can keep, yes. That would also be worthy to me.

If I can't keep it, trade it or it doesn't help me, then I have no interest in it.
I don't care if I'm "cool" or not. :thumbsup2

I was telling my husband about it (he doesn't play vmk) and he asked "It's kind of pointless isn't it?" and "Is that something you would buy in real life?"

It is an impossible question to answer appropriately until we know what it does.

Hummm... well I would say that they did what they wanted...and that is they diffinilty sparked our imaginations :confused3 . What's that saying Knowing is half the fun of it. :smooth: Now we are all wondering and excited to know what it is...which is fun! Thanks Yavin for the thrill and excitment of waiting to see what this is and all the Mystery Items are! :woohoo: We are like kids in a candy store or Christmas and can't wait to open the gifts! :yay:

Personally i think something like treasure detector magic should be 1 time use. If a magic spell gives you any kind of item in the game it should not have multiple use. For example. Turn into Donald Magic Pin: Turns you into Donald duck's costume and allows you to walk around as him "for a day" and once it expires you recieve a donald duck hat, shoes, and beak. Stuff like that I would buy

I didn't vote because I pretty much agree with the above statements. Although, if it was just a magic spell, but it lasted for say a twenty four hour period, I would buy that. From the sounds of the newsletter though, it sounds like they might be reward pins, not buyables. I do hope the temporary magic is longer than a regular magic pin though.

I think one time use magic would be a waste of credits. Especially if they charge like they did for Snowman and Bat magic.

I also don't like the reason why. After a year of staff asking us not to use magic, or booting us for using magic it's no wonder people don't use magic much. I say make the magic where it won't crash people and give us spells we can always use!

I agree that if it doesn't give me some benefit aside from showing off in a room for ten seconds, it probably isn't worth the credits, inferno or not. Besides I'm sure that if they did release some of the retired rare magics in this fashion, then they won't be rare anymore and you won't be the coolest kid on the vmk block if you have inferno anyway.

Depends on the magic... I am sure they will make it tempting enough for us to cough up credits for....

I am more concerned with the Keys posibly replacing credits in pirates! ARg! that bums me out

Would I buy it? Probably not--it'd have to be really cool for me to spend credits for a one-shot deal.

Would I accept it if given to me? Happily. :thumbsup2

My guess, based upon my lack of fascination with, say, the inferno magic for use in the spell room, is that I would only care if I needed to use it to complete a quest.

I think it is a good idea, as long as you don't have to buy it for a lot of credits. For example, if you win it from in a chest in the treasure room, it is a good idea. If you have to buy it for 10,000 credits, no one will buy it, and they will be very disappointed that they had it there in the first place. Personally, I think magic is good the way it is.

It sounds like they'll be giving it away in host rooms, if that is the case then hey I'll try anything once. As for buying it, I don't think that's something I would pay for, unless like others have said it will give us something in return. I sound like a greedy child, but still. It's hard for some of us to earn credits myself included I do want what I spend them on to benefit me in some way. With that said everything so far I've seen on VMK has been appealing in some way so I will reserve final judgement for when I see exactly what it does.

I might try one or two if they are cheap. I wouldnt spend a lot on it and I would only try each type once, if at all.

I am thinking I might spend 100 or 150 on a one shot magic. But probably not much more than that!

I foresee having to buy the "trash" magic pins in order to complete quests.
Would I buy one for any other reason. NO! I don't see any point to them.

That's one of my concerns too. :(
I would like to think that the keys would be an added bonus for paying to play and staying in the game to win on top of the credits given.

I voted "yes I would buy" and "I don't care about it".

I would buy it, but I really buy things just to have them. Expiring items/magic makes me angry. I would still have to buy it and see what I get out of it.
