The only way we can get a moderate resort for our dates with the discount is to go threw orbitz? We are currently have a pop package with free dining and tickets paid in full. I do know this is a room only and we would have to pay for dining and tickets seprate. Dh and DD have tickets to use so we would only have to buy one ticket. And then just pay op for food. We were planning on paying op for Rainforest, T-rex and garden grill since we had the QSDP.

Any experience with Orbitz? I'm scared on not booking threw disney.

I would book through orbitz, but I don't know how close you are as far as refund for your trip - if you've paid in full, I'd guess that your trip is very soon?

You can change or cancel your reservation without penalty up until 45 days in advance. From 7 to 44 days in advance, there is a cancellation fee of $100. If you cancel 6 days or less in advance, you pay a $200 penalty.

Anyway, I would trust Orbitz for booking. Make sure you bring all of your booking conf # and info to the resort when you go.

But do the math first. See how much you'd spend on dining oop before you do this.

And if you do decide to go w/ Orbitz, I'd make the reservation w/ them and then cancel what you have w/ disney.

I booked the BWV on Orbitz at a price that was scary low and way too good to pass up (I thought it was a mistake and right after I booked it, they changed the price to almost triple what I paid). I've tried calling Disney multiple times to confirm my reservation and I can't get through the system to get it confirmed. I'm a little nervous about it!

Did you purchase travel insurance? If yes, that is non-refundable, so you would immediately be out $66.95 per adult.

We recently cancelled our trip. It is not at the 45 day mark yet, so we were refunded everything but $133 for the insurance we paid.

You should check but it looks like you are less than 45 days from your arrival date. If so, I do not believe you can cancel your current package without a penalty.

I'm not actually at the 45 day mark. But I'm to scared to change and go threw orbitz. Because if I cancle there is no way we would be able to get our package back since pop is sold out for my dates. We really like pop so no need to change. But we could use the extra room at a mod.

Thanks for everyone's input. We figured if we did this in the end it would cost us 1000.00 more so I will stick with pop.

We didn't pay for the insurance.

Don't be nervous. They have your reservation, just not through Central Reservations. If you're worried, call Orbitz and ask them to make a room request for you. They will contact Disney and make the room requests on your behalf. They will place you on hold while they do this.

Thank you! I will try that!

Great advice. I always use Orbitz and never have any serious problems. If you already booked though getting a refund could be hassle though.

It looks like you go to WDW every year. You could always call Disney and change your package from this year to 2011. You would only be required to keep $200 on the package and could request a refund of the rest of the payments you made so far. The 2011 basic packages only have rooms in them now but the rates are gtd and you could add tickets and dining later.

Some of you are mentioning losing money on the insurance portion, don't cancel, just change your dates! You don't loose that money! I just did it for my September trip and changed to December! Yes, I had to hold for 10 minutes while the Disney agent got approval for my insurance to be switched, but it saved us $133.60!

No we aren't cancling our trip. It is paid in full. We were just thinking of staying moderate but there is nothing for our dates.

But we are going to have to use orbitz or travelocity for my stepson's and his girfriends room at pop. He lives in FL and is going to meet us there for 4 days so we are paying for his room. But again nothing available threw disney at pop with discount.
