We were planning to fly out of Manchester NH next Feb 25 (Sat). Flying in and/or out of Boston is kind of a pain for us. We usually fly into Tampa and see the relatives before WDW and return from Orlando or Tampa.
Song has an early flight (6:10) which would require that we stay over the night before that is $74. all other flights for the day (and weekend) are $250 right now. We'd probably stay sat night and fly Sunday AM in this scenario.
They have $74 seats available on the way back from both Orlando and Tampa, but the times from Tampa stink so we'd stick with MCO even though I prefer Tampa.
The question is:
Are these prices so good that I should lock them in and not wait to see if JetBlue and/or SW (out of Manchester) have flights that fit our preferences better? I would much prefer to fly out of Boston later in the day if we do need to fly out of Boston, but that's a big $$ difference.
I'm a little concerned about Delta's financial situation, but with the new terminal in Boston and them stressing the FL routes I'm pretty confident that even if they went chapter 11 they'd keep these routes going.
Last year they made cheaper seats available on other flights as the year went on, but I can't see them getting much cheaper than $74, and of course I'd be unhappy about paying $250 per person each way. I would be surprised if something cheaper than $250 didn't become available later.
Should I bite the bullet and grab these seats now or wait and see what comes up later that may fit into our plans better?
Thanks for the input.
