My advice is to get ready for some "stupid parenting tricks

Good advice! I can't tell you how many times I've had my kids places only to find out later from a "friend" how sick they or their kids were/are! But I'd expect a little more courtesy from my family.

One more piece of advice-think carefully before you speak. There is no wrath like that of a pregnant woman!

You need to set up a "total disclosure" relationship with her now that you both have children. Inform her when your child/family is sick, getting sick or getting over being sick when discussing plans for getting together. Insist that she does the same. And always be the one to back out of family events to protect your child's welfare.

If she doesn't hold up her end of that deal, see her sporatically and tell her exactly why.

This event is water under the bridge. Leave it there. But learn from it.
