I would also be in favor of that.

It wouldn't be that hard (or take very long) for front desk CM to review that "stay too long" charge with guests checking in - we have to initial something now at check in anyway.

What would be really nice is to have the option to stay later or check out earlier. As well as to get in early or check in later.

For example, my flight last trip didn't get in to 7:00 pm and we got to BW at 8:30- I didn't need to check in early so they could have given me a room where the last guest wanted to check out later.

My next trip is the same. We won't arrive at the BW til 8:00pm so the people in my room could actually check out later if this wished- like 12:00 -1:00 No later than that.

And it could happen in the reverse too. Those of you that leave early and arrive early could have your pick too.

Wouldn't that require an additional shift of housekeepers? And imagine the complaint from folk who "hear" the housekeeper vacuuming and making beds in the unit next door if they got a late check-out to sleep late.

no. don't push me on my last morning to get packed up & get out any earlier than i have to. we usually have a late nite on our last nite so i don't want the additional stress of having to get up any earlier to get out. we typically don't arrange for early flights home. mid-afternoon works if we can book it that way so 11:00 is a happy check-out time for me. and just btw we are USUALLY (but not always) ones to fly down REALLY early for our check-in day. we just leave our stuff with bell services & head out to the parks or grab lunch or whatever. i'd really rather do that than have to be OUT early.

nope, 11am works for us, and usually, we need every last second of that check out time. I think it's all fine the way it is.

Not us.

We fly into Orlando, and the earliest we have gotten to our resort (after getting bags, rental car, etc..) might be 11-11:30. We dont usually go to the parks on our first day, we prefer to relax.

If our room is not ready, we will go to lunch and hang out by the pool. The latest we have gotten into our room was around 1:45 (this is for all our trips), which I dont have a problem with at all.

No, we're good with 11 AM. And I do like with Deb posted re penalties for late check-outs
