Would you add 2 more days?

Here's the deal: We aren't going until June 2009; However....I've been planning now for a few months. Anyway, We are planning on arriving on a Monday and checking out that same week on Friday (going over to Universal for 4 nights. ORIGINALLY, I wanted to come in that weekend before (2 extra days). DH found out that airline prices were cheaper if we fly on a Monday as opposed to the weekend.

After all of the efforts/planning, etc it takes to get us there, I would like to spend as much time as we can. Since it doesn't cut into any vacation days, the weekend would be a great time to travel. So, can I justify paying an additional $180.00 (total for 4 people) in airfare, and an additional $400.00 in room fees?

What would you do?

I would stay the extra 2 days

I would stay the two extra days, also you might cut costs by looking at another resort. For us we could stay 5 nights at a moderate or 8 at a value, imo its just a bed we have our fun at the park. Also airfare for 09 will change quite a bit between now and then, so you might actually get your tickets cheaper than you think.

I'd DEFINITELY add the extra days... even if you have to stay at a different resort to do so. I'd also look into flying down friday afternoon or evening after school and work. You honestly can't have enough time in WDW, and like you said - it won't be adding vacation days to the trip, and with all the cost and effort to get there, I say get as many days as you can there. You still won't see and do it all, even with a full week there. But you'll feel very relaxed and enjoy the trip that much more, not having to rush around to everything. And adding the days to the park tickets is such a minimal cost, I'd definitely go for it!

Just keep in mind: adding extra days also means extra food and probably extra days on your park tickets.

For us it would also mean extra days at the kennel for the dog.

Well, a lot of things can happen between now and June of next year, so I wouldn't fight with hubby about it yet...

Where are you flying from? When we fly (from Newark NJ) it's almost always the same price to fly Tuesday - Tuesday (7 nights) as it is to fly Sunday or Monday to Friday (4-5 nights) - so maybe if you don't get hung up on the day of the week and concentrate on the trip length, you'd be able to find a flight that works.
