Beautiful kids! I'm so glad you posted a picture! I've been reading your posts for a long time now and it's nice to see the people I've been picturing. Prayers for your family.
I've read your previous posts. I hope the state understands that it's not always possible to wait until children reach that "magic age" to do what's best for them. Stay strong. You seem like a very loving, caring mother. I'm sure it's hard, but you need to think of yourself too and your own health.
Oh, my goodness! I went off to get some Chinese food with DH and came back to find my thread on page 3! THANK YOU, THANK YOU ALL for your kind words and special thoughts. My mind has been in a whirl all afternoon and I have just felt jittery with anxiety today. Thanks for the votes of confidence and all your prayers. I know that God will work it out for the best, whatever that is. I sometimes have trouble with my "contentment". You know, I want what I want and I want it NOW. Thank you all for your special messages. The picture I posted is about 3 years old, I just realized. I'll have to look and see if there are some more recent photos of Christian and Eleni.
He looks a lot like my brother, but he can't walk. Mostly the deep narrow set eyes, and the smile. It's amazing how smart they can be when it comes to getting their way.
When we were little, we used to play on the Sega Genesis. Of course his favorite spot for building walls (he loves the giant lego blocks) has always been in front of the tv. So we'd knock his wall down and try to get him to move it some place else. He figured out to pull on the controller cords to knock it off the shelf, freezing or shutting off the game.
If he wanted to go for a ride (part of the reason I love driving so much), he'd wheel himself out to the car. And if he could, he'd get in there and sit until we left. And he'd slam the door on us if he wasn't ready to get out. Of course the car was in the backyard, and he never went further than that, unless some one tried to drive off without him.
I hope you find him a good home. It'd be really nice if the government didn't work so slowly.
You're a warrior! I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. It's great that you're thinking of what's best for your whole family. I hope there's a favorable outcome for the good of all concerned. You just have to turn it over!
What a beautiful family! Prayers, thoughts and good luck sent your way for a speedy placement! Remember, my DD is an asst. manager of an ARC group home up here. If you have any questions she could help you with, feel free to PM me.
