We don't have enough Ts, but don't want to upgrade our dining plan. So we are going to pay outta pocket for one or two.

I was thinking of paying outta pocket for 2 of my daughters TS meals, and then using her TS's for myself. Would that work?

:confused3

Only if she is 10 years old or older.

I guess you could still do it if she's younger but you'd have to get a kid's meal.

Most of the restaurants will permit adults to order a kids' meal. (Edited to add: Not at buffets or all-you-can eat meals)

What I mean is that if you are on the dining plan, a child under 10 must order a kid's meal. Child credits can't be used to order from the regular menu. So if Mom wants to use child credits for herself and eat the child's meal - she'd have to eat a kids meal.

If the kid is 10 or over, they're all adult credits and can be used to order from the regular menu.

If you're going to do this, don't go to a buffet. I don't think they will allow adults to eat a buffet on a kid's credits.

Really??? I had always heard that you can't. I stand corrected.

There's lots of reports that people over age 9 were able to order from the children's menu. Some reported getting a larger portion and being charged more, though.
