I am getting ready to purchase the special tickets for next year, my daughter will be 3 when we go but she really doesn;t go on anything, would they check her real age or should i just buy the ticket for only $85. i know its not alot of money but it doesn't make sense to pay the same as an adult when she's to young and scared to go on anything. anyone else have this problem? thanks :confused3

you are asking if it is ok to lie and cheat the company out of money due them. age limits are what they are. you wont get an ok from me but you have most likely made up your mind allready and are just hoping for someone to agree with you. sooner or later someone will.

go ahead and do it they dont check att all we saw teenagers and kids way over the age limit with kids tickets they dont check and besides does a 3yr old have id to check anyways

Well put and, as predicted, the very next post after yours was one condoning OPs proposal to cheat.

Would this even be discussed for a disney question? If you are going to do it, do it, and dont tell. If you get caught you'll be in trouble, plain and simple. Not to mention the fact you are conditioning your child to lie. Not the place to ask

If you've got the money, go ahead and buy it. If you don't, don't. You can always decide if you want to buy her a ticket later anyway; you're not going until next year.

the morality cops are out and passing out judgement tickets.
rules are rules, its called "theft of services". not really any different than sticking a stuffed animal down your pants and walking out with it, that of course is "product theft" in both cases you are getting the benefit of something for free that you are supposed to pay for. no judgement about it, just the facts.

Yes it would be and yes it has been discussed in the past on the Disney side of this site.

Yes, it would be bad of you. It's called stealing. Those of us who pay for our tickets would appreciate it if you would pay for yours, also. :)

Our 8 and 10 year olds are too scared to go on many of the attractions at IoA. We know we can either go someplace they will ride all the rides or we can pay for their ticket to get in. It would not occur to us to think we should not have to pay for their tickets. If they go, they pay. If we don't want to pay, we don't go.

BTW, wingding is either being sarcastic or is unaware of how things really work at the turnstiles. His or her information is incorrect. And I'm no 'morality cop'. The OP asked, we answered.

I think it would be more like chastizement and a beheading for asking in the disney part of the site....But with Universal, ehhh...go ahead, its wrong and you shouldnt do it, but go ahead.

people break the rules and smoke in non-smoking areas of WDW and Universal. when the parks start enforcing that rule, my daughter will officially become an adult in the eyes of the parks. until then, it's game on.

your morals may vary with usage.

Just to add, that telling yourself that this child doesn't go on many rides does not justify anything. The major parks in Orlando give NO discounts to handicapped or seniors who do not go on rides either. Or people too scared or sick or anything else. They also do not discount when the lines are so long that it is difficult to get on more than 2-3 major rides in day, etc.

But, I am not angel, not perfect myself, so do whatever you wish.

What if I said my DD and I want matching T shirts, they both cost $20, Hers is a lot smaller, so it isn't fair that they are charging the same price. I'll just pay for mine and stuff hers down the front on my pants. It just doesn't make sense to pay $20 for a shirt that is so much smaller than mine.

People commit murder everyday, so does that make bank robbery OK in your eyes. After all until the cops stop the murders, why shouldn't you just go rob a bank?

Theft is theft, fraud is fraud no matter how you try to justify it.

Stuffed animals and tee shirts stuffed down your pants. Whats up with that? :teeth:

I'm afriad you've got the wrong end of the stick if you think theft is what I'm talking about in my tag. It's a little bit more profound than that, but never mind. :)

The OP asked if it was 'bad'. Yup, it's bad. She knows it or she wouldn't have asked. Whenever I read these follow-up 'do whatever you want' answers, I'm always amazed there are really people who set their moral bar that low, especially when it's such a small thing they're being asked to do (like pay for something they purchase). But there you have it. :confused3

Amity, you're not fooling me because I know your daughter has an AP. There is no childs AP at Universal. You can't sit at the cool kids table for lunch. You gotta sit with the rest of us on the rule-following, straight A students, Band-nerd table. :woohoo:

Wow. I cannot beleive how carried away people are getting on this board about it. I bet she wished she would have never asked! I too do not beleive that it is okay to cheat, lie, steal and to set a good example for our children but I'm sorry comparing murder, burglery, etc to a 3 year old entering the parks without a ticket is unfair.

What is the age limit anyway? If a 3 year old doesn't classify I don't know what the point would be to have age limits at all.
