We are headed to Orlando Wednesday for a four night bachelorette. Our first night is Universal before switching to Disney. We’ll be at Royal Pacific our first night and we don’t have much time, basically a half day on check in day and a half day on checkout day. Most of us have been many times before so I know if we can’t get it all done that’s fine. That being said, does anyone have any critiques of my itinerary? Is there any detail I’m not thinking of? ie I recently learned I will have to buy our breakfast tickets for Three Broomsticks at the hotel, that you can no longer just walk up. Anything else I’m missing? TIA!

Day1
1pm: pick up tickets, express passes
2pm: late lunch at Leaky Cauldron
3-4:30pm: ride Gringotts, explore Diagon Alley
4:30pm: Hogwarts Express to IOA
5-8: ride Forbidden Journey, try to ride Hagrid, explore Hogsmeade
8pm: leave the park, stopping at CityWalk for dinner at Margarittaville (8:30pm reservation)
10pm: mobile order VooDoo donuts

Day2
8:30am: be at IOA for 9am rope drop
9am: Velocicoaster and King Kong
10am: breakfast at Three Broomsticks
11am: Hogwarts Express to Universal Studios
11:30am-1pm: Mummy, Transformers, Men in Black
1pm leave parks

Wow, girl, you’re getting a lot in there! If the girls are up for a busy trip, I’d say your plans looks great! (This is coming from a fellow do-all-you-can-in-the-time-you-have planner)

They’re definitely game! Lol. But like I said, we understand there’s a fair chance we can’t do it all!

Eh with express this time of year you should get most of it done. Depends on how much stopping to shop or look around Diagon Alley and Hogameade you do. Hagrids line is usually a bit less than posted so may be lucky with 30 min or less line, and Velocicaster line moves pretty fast-if the Velicicoaster line isn’t outside at all should be 35 minutes or less.
Have a fabulous time!

Thanks, we’re very much looking forward to it!!

The only thing that I would keep "fluid" is when you ride Hagrids and Velocicoaster.

On day 1 in 5-8pm slot, check the wait times between Hagrids and Velocicoaster. If by chance Hagrids is much longer than Velocicoaster, I would do Velocicoaster that night and rope drop Hagrids on day 2.

Perfect, thanks!

Start early on Wednesday for the studios
They are closed to the public at 5 due to hhn

You might find crowds at Islands of Adventure as most move over there around 4ish as that park will be open until closing time

Is there a HHN on Wednesday? If so, DO NOT try to hop over on the Hogwarts Express at 4:30. You and everyone else in the park will be doing so and the result is NOT pretty.

Looking at your schedule, I would probably completely skip the Studios side on Wednesday and focus on IOA. Then I would hit the early entry on the Studios side on Thursday morning, maximizing the low crowds, and play it by ear for the rest of your day - either going to IOA to finish up what you didn't do the day before or staying at Studios. While I am normally a huge proponent of hopping back and forth between the parks, with such a constrained time frame, you are wasting a lot of time doing so.

Also, personally, I would gouge the eyeballs out of anyone who tried to limit me to 1.5 hours in Diagon Alley - and that's without adding riding Gringotts into that time. But that's just me!

Thanks for this! Yes it is a HHN, so you think even with EP the HE will be a nightmare? Do you think 4pm would be much better?

Yes, by 4pm, even with express, the HE is way too crowded, both ways, as those wanting to get into the Studios to stay in the park to wait for HHN, and even more crowds getting out of the Studios to go to the later closing IOA. I learned my lesson, if I don’t ride out of the Studios by around 3:30pm, I just walk out and stroll over to Islands. It’s not a long walk, and usually not too busy to enter IOA that time of day.

Thanks! Should we be ok if we shoot for 3:30?

Before we had the covid issues, Wednesday had the lightest crowds for hhn
