Right now we’re booked June 19-25 at BWV 1 bedroom using the 35% discount offer. Staying there has always been on our buck list but now I keep second guessing if we will be disappointed with the changes on the Boardwalk due to Covid. We could switch to the Dolphin and save about $600 but then I’m worried we will feel cramped with 3 adults and 1 child. We would also loose the second bathroom. Just looking for others opinion of what would you do. Thanks.

I think you're making the right choice with BWV. Usually I'm a huge proponent of Swan and Dolphin, but with 3 adults and 1 child you would need 2 rooms to compare with the amenities of The villa and you still wouldn't be able to cook anything or do any laundry.

Would help to know what drew you to the Boardwalk. I agree the boardwalk right now really lacks nighttime entertainment if that all you are going for. If you like the theme/style of the resort and the 1-bedroom room layout though, that is pretty much the same as before Covid. Since you are going this year, Boardwalk also includes magical express transportation to/from the airport so if you aren't driving/renting you have to factor cost of airport transportation if .

Obviously, location/transportation and convenience to Epcot/ is a total wash as between Boardwalk and Swolphin, so the real difference is going to be the rooms and resort style.

There is no second bathroom in a BWV 1BR room.

It is my understanding that the Dolphin only has double beds which, if correct, would make that room feel even more cramped, IMHO. I'm not a huge fan of the pull-outs in the BWV one-bedrooms, but I also wouldn't want to share a double bed with anyone. Tough call! I would probably vote BWV.

I think we’ll stay with the BWV. I keep coming back to the thought we will feel too cramped for a week in a regular room. The kitchen and in room laundry are just the extra icing on the cake.

I thought the 1 bedroom villa’s have the split bathroom? Tub, sink and toilet one side and shower/sink in the other?
No. It's not a true split bathroom. There is a jetted tub (no shower) and sink in one part and toilet, sink and shower in the other part. There is no door between the master bedroom and the sink/tub part. There is a door between the sink/tub and the shower/sink/toilet. And there's a door between the living room and the shower/sink/toilet.

ETA: Just to be clear...there is a dooway between the master bedroom and the tub/sink. There is no door that separates the two.
