Worth it if on Dining Plan?

I hear that you can buy resort mugs and you can keep filling up at your resort only. Just wondering if this was a good deal since you get drinks with your DP. I don't even know how much the mugs are now. Besides the souvenir factor I don't know if they would be a good buy. We are trying to watch our money for this trip. Opinions?

The mugs come with the DP. So they are totally worth it!

my mum always buys a mug between the 3 kids and 1 each for dh myself and her, we not only used them at the resort but we used to fill them up with ice and as my mum takes her ECV with her we put them in the basket, they used to last us till lunch! then when we got our refills with lunch we would be sure to get refil to go with and pour them into our mugs that would then last us till at least the early evening!
I know its not ideal if you have to carry them but for us it was great! Im so pleased they now come with the plan as they have gone up!!

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Since the mugs are included in the DP, are they considered a snack? Do you have to have a specific type of DP (ex: DxDP)? Or, automatically comes with it?

As of this year, the mugs are included with all the dining plans. Before this year, the basic dining plan didn't include them but the QS and Deluxe did.

Anytime after you check in at your resort, go to the Quick Service location at your resort. Give the cashier your KTTW card. The credit for the mug is encoded on your KTTW card as part of your dining plan.

To follow on to the previous... your KTTW card will have access to your reservation's bank of TS, CS, and snakc credits, plus one "mug credit" per person. When you get the mug, the cashier will use that mug credit as payment.
