Worst thing you ever found in a "clean" room

This is exactly what I was thinking when I read it.

We love CR but once when we went and were getting ready for bed, our son uncovered the day bed and discovered wet yellow stained sheets. It went through to the mattress. They brought us a new mattress and sheets. I thought that was bad until I read some of the others. Nasty!!!

We've also come back to the room during the middle of the day to have Mousekeeping in our room making out w/ their boyfriend/husband. I was taken back by this. The man ran out of the room real fast. I hated to say anything the the manager. I mean what else were they going to do in my room and the thought of someone other than the mousekeeper in my room freaked me out! She told me it would never happen again. I made her change all the bedding to be on the safe side!

Couldn't agree more.

I found a toe-nail in ASmovies last June. We were in the room for only two nights and it was still their when we left. I do wonder from time to time how long it took before it was removed? It was not in a corner, or under anything, but right by the table.

nope no flames here....i am right with you on this one!!
i would never leave food around that i knew that i, or a family member had dropped!!! it is one thing if i didn't see it, or missed one, but to test the mousekeeping staff is a bit much.

Not at a hotel room, but:
One time, at our office, there was a dead roach in the employees BR for about two weeks. People are supposed to clean every night, and, I know they are in the office building. Finally, I picked it up and threw it away. There is so much dust on the surfaces and so much lint on the carpets, I am not sure just what housekeeping does. Unfortunately, our office is in the hospital complex, and we have nothing to do with hiring or firing them.

we've never had any ewwww experiences at wdw hotels... thank goodness! at an offsite condo we found a half a bottle of wine in the fridge... we didn't finish it ;)

years ago when staying at a hotel near sesame place we were sleeping (w/out the chain 'cause dh ran out to get ds his paci and forgot to put it back on when he came in) and around midnight a man walked in... i screamed bloody murder... the guy took off running, dh took off running after him and the front desk eventually apologized! it was obviously a screw up and they comp'd the room for the night but it was a horrible nightmare for our family! the next morning we saw the guy at breakfast and he told us he was an undercover cop and he thought he walked into an ambush and was glad he was not armed or he might have started shooting... yikes!

i had a boss that would leave paperclips on the floor to check if the cleaners were cleaning... they weren't :confused3 :sad2:

I am fanatical (okay..obsessive/compulsive) about clean sheets. I immediately strip the covers off a bed when I check in to inspect the sheets and confirm that they are, in fact, fresh. And i always request fresh sheets every day (I am sorry to the enviornment). I will make a tiny mark on the used sheets with a pencil (so I can check them when we return to the room) to reassure myself that the sheets are new. My husband thinks I am crazy, but I can't tell you how many times I have requested new sheets and they were NOT changed. (towels too!)

WDW is usually wonderful about the sheets and towels.

Sheets with spots and hair. I don't even want to think about where that hair probably came from.

lookingforward do you change your sheets at home everyday???

just curious...not sarcastic

At Disney a sock, not my sons, in between the "clean sheets"! This was at AKL and no apology was made.
At Foxwoods a wallet in the bathroom which we turned in.They didnt apologize or anything.
At the Hyatt in Denver there was a rubber body suit(on top of the TV armoire) and empty wine bottles(on the floor by he bed). I made the manager come up and see it before they moved me to another room. I just could not sleep there.Ewwww

Our last morning at the BC before we left on the cruise last time, we found the most horrifying thing laying on the floor just inside the front door...

...the bill.

I'm sure we've found things, but took them in stride (must not have made an impression either way). But I do recall one thing when DS was about 5-ish. I think we stayed at the Beach Club that trip. I was using the restroom and one of those little lizards (that you see everywhere) scooted under the door into the bathroom. We had fun catching it and letting it go outside. Figured it came in through the balcony.

Oh, I would have had NO problem telling her manager! I would have had the manager marched up to my room immediately to deal with it. What if she does this again?

I found a roll of unused film under the A/C unit at POFQ. That's about it.

Why do you need clean sheets every day???????

AND mouse keeping should not have to pick up food/trash you leave around. No wonder my students have such a hard time picking up after themsleves at school.

That's strange. We were at a not-Disney hotel one time, and while sleeping with my feet hanging out from under the covers, I was awakened by someone unlocking and opening the door.

They left quickly and we never saw them again. . .
