Worst restaurant at WDW?

On my personal do not return list is Coral Reef.

I had my worst experience at any Disney restaurant at CR in June 2006. The waitress literally yelled at one of the children in my group for sharing her brother's meal (they BOTH got mac & cheese, they each just wanted to eat the others dish...kids). I got the wrong entree TWICE (not a hard entree, I wanted the kids Chicken and Potatoes). We never received refills on drinks from our server, and ended up asking another server for refills. Lastly, after we were out walking about in Epcot we hear our waitress YELLING at us because she messed up the bill. She left off an alcoholic drink (maybe two?) but because our group was so large we didn't notice the price difference.

That just made us mad. That our waitress, who didn't spend any time at our table, couldn't get the orders straight, and didn't ever offer us refills was CHASING us through Epcot.

Thats the reason I don't like Coral Reef. Obviously this experience doesn't happen to everyone, but I will not be returning.

Ohhhhhhhh, I forgot the most horrible! The food at the Spirit of Aloha Show!

To each their own, I guess. Many of the places mentioned so far are some of our favorites. :rotfl2:

What has dropped off our list is the Polynesian's O'hana. Poor, poor service, floor was filthy around the table, the waitress didn't bring us all of the menu items, and when she did a few of the meats were tough...not tender at all.

We won't return to San Angel Inn due to bad service two trips in a row, we even contacted mgmt. via email and was assured the issue would be addressed. We returned the next year and no change, off our list.

Garden Grill. We had the first seating at dinner time. Everything was dried out and just yucky. I don't know if it was leftovers from lunch or what because we saw different rolls coming to other tables than what we were served. The characters were great though, coming to the table several times and spending a good amount of time with our kids.

The only restaurants that we will not return to are Hollywood and Vine and Crystal Palace. Those buffets did nothing for us.

Larry J I agree with you 100%. We all have different experiences.

Our worst meal was at Fulton's about 2 years ago. It's not that the food was horrible, although we didn't think it justified the price. It was the people who were seated near us. It was fairly late at night...maybe 10pm? We had just flown into MCO, checked in at SSR, and walked over to DTD.

There was a large family seated near us with really small children. The kids were loud, undisciplined, whiny, and that's being nice. Another couple that was also near us, got up and left. We gritted it out, hey after all we have four kids ourselves, we can tune out anything, right??? Nope, they were too obnoxious for even us. The worst part was that not one staffer did a darn thing to ask them to be quiet, stop running around, nothing. Why the heck were they out so late with little children anyway? :sad2:

Garsh, I wonder if Disney reads this to fix our complaints???

That is horrible, I would of talked to a manager and made sure she did not get a tip and this is coming from a server.:sad2:

Fultons is by far the worst restaurant at WDW. We had simply awful service there every time we went--from the manager, to the podium greeter, thru the servers, right on down to the table cleaning staff. They are rude, indifferent, nonchalant--could care less if you ever came back. Which, of course, we won't.
I did a thread a long time ago (so long ago it isn't even on the archives!) about what exactly took place at each of our meals. It was VERY long, but maybe one day I'll try to reconstruct it and repost.

Sounds like our experience too. I guess it deserves a prominent place in the poll.

Keep the suggestions coming everybody - I expect I'll post the poll in another day or two. We've already gotten quite a list.

rose and crown...raw fish under cooked fries,,just put it in take it out... next victim.....horrible food...

The only WDW Restaurant that I won't return to is Hollywood & Vine. It was horrible. The food was cool, not hot. The tables were unbussed and dirty, the waitress was rude and the Ladies Room was filthy. The only edible part of the entire meal was the bread and the ice cream. Totally awful!!!

I forgot Hollywood & Vine! It doesn't help that I HATE buffets to begin with. This just reminded me of a Ryan's/Golden Corral buffet, food barely edible laid out in feeding troughs, waaaaaay too overpriced!

For us, it would have to be Coral Reef.

We were so excited to try this restaurant on our last trip and were very disappointed. We were there for lunch and I had to send back my entree and I have never had to do that before. I think it was Tilapia and it was so fishy and salty tasting- my husband tried it and spit it out- it was absolutely horrible. As we were finishing our meal, a new table of four sat next to us and they got the lobster bisque that comes in a what looks like a shot glass and their reaction was "you've got to be kidding me... $7.00 for 2 sips." The service was just as horrible and at one point my husband had to get up and track down the server. We were very close to the fishtanks so that was fabulous and kept my 2 young kids entertained for about 15 mins while we waited for our food that took forever. Of course, our experience but very expensive for a horrible experience....never again.

I have to say our two worst meals were at Cape May Dinner and the Japan (habachi) style restaurant. Both meals were very close to inedible. Matter of fact I dont think I really ate my food from the Japan place it was so salty and greesy.

I'm not a picky eater, so I've had no "horrible" meals - but I doubt I'd return to Flame Tree BBQ again. Both the chicken and ribs were dry.

Per usual (although this thread is still in its infancy), when one of these threads is started you will find in time that nearly every restaurant is mentioned at least once.:rolleyes1
