It does, but it's really obtuse without the instructions. It's actually pretty simple - find the three phone parts and call for the ship before you run out of energy. The tricky part is that each "space" on the map has an icon associated with it to activate power at the cost of energy. Some powers, like the arrows, warp you one screen in that direction. You can also call Elliot for help and some other stuff I don't really remember. Anyway, there is one space that you use to call once you have the phone, then you have to go to the pickup point (always the same as the drop-off I think - middle of the woods). The FBI guy and scientist will try to catch you, but it really only wastes your energy as you have to walk back to where you were. Honestly, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it wasn't so frustrating to get out of the pits! The mechanics and controls for that are just broken. It can be done - you can even get good at it - but it's not really worth it. Still, I know people call it the worst game ever, but it's really not as bad as certain others. I'm not saying it's good mind you - but if you understand it you can actually play it.
