whats your worst experience? mine would have to be (Well it didnt happen to me but it happened to my sister) she wears contacts and she didnt clean it good so she got an eye infection and we had to go to the disney doctor. :( we sat there for like 4 hours 2 waiting to go in and 2 waiting for her to get done in the doctor, it sucked so bad. My worst experience that happened to me was my dad almost forsed me to go on tower of terror and i promised myself before i went to disney world that i wouldnt ride that ride and i wasnt going to break the promise so what do i do? i do the only thing i thought of, cry, yeah i feel like an idiot but my dad hates when his daughters cries and he becomes a softy so i didnt have to ride it. Share your worst experience.

My worst experience had to be 2 years ago during free dining when my parents came with us. My dad is not a good vacationer but I hadn't been on a "family vacation" with my parents since I was a young teenager, so I guess I was hoping he'd mellowed with age. I should have known better!

We were having breakfast at the Starring Rolls Cafe in MGM (as it was known then, and always will be to me), I was sitting across from Dad and my DD (then 7) was sitting next to me. DD was thrilled because the CM at the cash register had noticed her birthday button and gave her a free cupcake - for breakfast! Somehow my dad accidentally dumped his steaming hot coffee in my lap. I jumped up, screaming, "HOT! HOT! HOT!!" and Dad got mad at me (!) for making a scene. All our food was ruined, including most of DD's birthday cupcake, and my legs were blistering. They did give us new food and new coffee for Dad, but DD's cupcake was not replaced because the CM that gave it to her wasn't there any more and Dad was too embarrassed to ask for another one. (I was busy wiping off the coffee.) She did eat the part that didn't get spilled on. What a trooper!

My shirt was ruined, and of course it was a brand new white Tink shirt that I had bought just before the trip. Dad offered to buy me a new tshirt, so I went and picked one out and bought it on his room charge. When I gave him the receipt, he freaked out at the cost ($28) and wanted me to pay him back! To add insult to injury, the shirt didn't even fit and it was the biggest size the store had (2x - and I am nowhere NEAR a size 2x!) I returned the shirt and decided to do the adult thing and just pout all day in my stinky, coffee-stained shirt and burned legs. Dad also did the adult thing and stormed off to the hotel muttering about ungratefulness.

Later that same day, after Dad returned and family harmony was restored, we were in the preshow area for MuppetVision 3D. It was pouring rain outside, one of those sudden afternoon 3pm Orlando storms that seem to hit every day. I was holding DD (then 2) and suddenly felt warm. Yep - she peed on me! Without a word, I left the show and walked in the rain to the Muppet store to buy new clothes for both me and DD, then over to Pizza Planet to change us both and get some lunch.

So in the space of a few hours, I was spilled on, burned, made to feel like a fat cow, scolded in public, and peed on. Yep -- that was my worst experience. It could have been worse: the year before I broke my elbow on my first day of vacation at Universal.

FWIW, the day did get better. The CM at Pizza Planet must have noticed I was having a hard time. Not only did he carry all our food to the table for me (I was juggling the stroller and the tray) but as soon as my family joined me, he had a Magic Moments certificate made up for my older DD for her birthday, and dumped a pile of Mickey Rice Krispy treats on the table -- I think there were about 12 of them.

Worst Vacation? The one I just got home from yesterday. I broke my leg in EPCOT last Monday, had surgery Wednesday, released from the hospital Thursday, drove home Saturday and Sunday.

Well our worst vacation experience at disney, is still better than not going> but: Last year, I injured my foot and was in the "boot" all summer. So thinking What I could not walk I would use the "cart" thing. I have never had so many rude experiences in my life, going to wdw, then being in the cart. I think my longest park day last year was maybe 2 hours. I would return upset, depressed and totally worn out. Just nasty looks, comments, people totally on purpose standing right in front of you. I never did get down the street to TOT last aug. at all. Always too crowded. I just didn't have the courage, or strength to handle the whole ordeal. Now, I guess I realize why some of the older set, seem to be a bit aggressive in the cart. They basically, have too? So, next time you see someone, who needs a break in that cart (or even mom with the double stroller), please forgive them. Was a totally eye opening experience. This trip> back to walking.:dance3:

Trip wasn't all bad, I got a lot of rest and poolside time.

mky:cutie:

We just returned on Saturday night from our first Disney vacation ever,we were so disappointed with almost every park.Animal Kingdom was the best park we visited. The employees there were very nice and we had a good time.Magic Kingdom was the worst, the people were rude and it was so crowded we couldn't even walk.We rode 2 rides and waited a long time for them. When we went to Epcot we didn't ride anything, with a fast pass the wait for soarin was 6 hours.I would not recommend the Dinosaur ride to anyone that has children that are under the age of 13,this is at Animal Kingdom,it is very scary. We couldn't believe how rude the people are in Florida. We feel like it was a huge waste of money to go to Disney. We have a son who is almost 7 and he even said he didn't ever want to go back.We did take an airboat ride while in Florida that was awesome.I would suggest it to anybody that was going.

In July 2001 we got caught in a storm at AK. It was the most wicked storm I have ever experienced. Huge bolts of lightening were banging into the ground all around us, the loudest thunder we had ever heard, and absolute buckets of rain pouring down. We couldn't squeeze into any buildings — they were all filled with people — so we ran for the bus loading area. My girls were 4 and 7. I really thought we were going to die from a lightening strike. When we finally get to the bus area…it has a metal roof! No buses came. No buses came. Finally, one pulls up and we get in. We were all soaked; our shoes were filled with water. The 4-year-old says, "Mommy, I don't 'yike' Disney World." Of course, by the time we got back to the WL, it was sunny and hot, hot, hot. We spent the rest of the day at the pool.

Mine was at the Pirate and Princess party on Aug. 24th last year. Although its not Disney's fault, it did rain and storm all night to the point where it was dangerous to be outside. There was deadly lightning and tornado warnings. Disney went about it all wrong in my opinion because they did not let the guests know what was going on. We weren't sure if the parade or fireworks would go on, plus we didn't know if we could get a refund or exchange our tickets. Every CM we spoke to told us something different. The next day I also found out that lightning struck the fireworks area and there was a fire. Nothing went on as scheduled and no one knew when and if any of the special pirate and princess party events would take place. We left early and found out they did do the fireworks and parade but very late.

Gawsh!!! I want to give hugs to you all!!1:hug: I realize that we had minor issues, but i think you guys are Troopers!!! Broken legs, coffee spills, peed on, on my :goofy:

On my worst trip, I didn't actually make it in to the MK.

This was many years ago when I lived in Seminole, FL, about 2 hours from WDW. I was 10. My family decided that we would take a day trip to the MK. This included my mom and stepdad, aunt and uncle, 8 year old cousin, and less-than-1-year-old cousin. All seven of us piled into my uncle's van. We got all the way there and we were waiting in line at the TTC when baby cousin suddenly threw up into a planter.

So of course the adults said we had to go home, even though once the baby was done going pleh, she acted like she felt fine. Sigh.

But the worst part is, we didn't actually go home! We went to Hillsborough State Park and stayed there all day! Grrrr.

(I did forgive baby cousin, by the way. She was awfully cute.)

I would like to point out that my worst experience was not anyone's fault and that up until then we were having an awesome time. In fact we are already mulling over our next trip and where we might want to stay, etc.

I'm really sorry for the family who had such a rotten experience in the parks. I wish I knew a way for them to experience the magic we have experienced in the past.

Worst Vacation? The one I just got home from yesterday. I broke my leg in EPCOT last Monday, had surgery Wednesday, released from the hospital Thursday, drove home Saturday and Sunday.

That's awful! Do you mind me asking, how did you break your leg? :confused3

I had a truly horrible experience. I shudder at the mere thought of the ordeal I had to endure. What happened? I had to leave at the end of my vaca... :scared1: ;)

My worse experience was this past May. It was my daughter's 6th birthday trip and also her first time visiting the World. I came down with Step throat and didn't realize there was a Disney Dr. so I just suffered thru it the entire week as best I could. Although we did spend ALOT of time in the hotel because I was just too weak to go on. We saw both parades and the fireworks but besides that all we saw of Magic Kingdom was Frontierland and Adventureland. And Epcot we only rode Soarin and Test Track. I don't know what was worse, only seeing half of every park or not being able to enjoy all the food that I should have been eating because it felt like I was swallowing glass. :(

this pales in comparison to some of the posts. check out at All-Star Sport in the AM for Mag Exp. The line was long, the CM's checking luggage were busier socializing than attending to the crowd. they screwed up our boarding passes and we found out on the bus they screwed up several others. we missed our scheduled bus and had to take the next one.

more of an aggravation than anything, but that'sthe worst i've experienced at WDW.

sounds like you didn't plan. :thumbsup2

The mother who sent her two boys to butt in front of my friend and I about halfway through a Streetmosphere performance at the Studios. I heard the mother behind me telling the kids "Just push through, just push through", which they did. Once they tried, it became obvious that the older boy was about 14 and a good deal taller than my friend. The mother went ballistic when I wouldn't let him push past and asked how dare I not allow children to get to the front, because in her opinion this was a show for children.

I know I told her she ought to at least teach them to say "excuse me" before they butted in front of people. She didn't like that at all and started screaming in my face, so I told her to back off. The actors were starting to look over, so I left.

I still don't feel like I should have had to leave, but the show was being disrupted.

My worst experience was my own fault...I have a problem walking sometimes, but didn't want to get a wheelchair. The first park we went to was Epcot...I made it to American Adventure before I couldn't walk whatsoever. My mom and brother had to more or less carry me back to the hotel, then my brother ran and fetched my crutches for me (bless  ) I felt so bad, but my family didn't mind as they got to laze around the pool for the rest of the day...I got a wheelchair after that

Both times I've gone to WDW, I've missed IllumiNations, as I've been - literally - laid up whilst my Mom tries to relieve the pain in my feet and ankles for me..embarrassing none the less, to have to be laid on the floor - 19 years old..but oh well. Some people stare, but a couple of people - one man who was a doctor and another who was a nurse - asked if they could help. We really appreciated it, but my Mom is also a nurse, and there was nothing else they could really do. But :thumbsup2 to whoever it was

So, nothing really bad in comparison, just stupid *** I should have known better!
