Not read or seen anything about this previously?!

Chose csr for the experience and for dh to swim in laned pool & for the gym...

Email does not give any details..
But states to contact if we wish to discuss further-
What does this mean exactly?

It's a special trip-first one just me & dh for his 50th birthday.

You're likely to be in a different building than the work. I don't think it should bother you, and it's not supposed to include the pool or the gym. Since Coronado is the only mod with a gym, and the only resort with a laned pool, I wouldn't switch. you'll be fine.

I think it has to do with renovating the bathrooms and putting in new flooring and furniture. They usually shut down a whole building and do one at a time. You probably won't notice any of the work going on, but if you do, you can ask to move to another building and they should accommodate you.

Agrred ☝If it is anything like the POFQ room rehab a few years ago it won't have any effect on your stay

I would call. Early November is off peak. They might agree to switch you to AKL or WL for no extra cost..... never know!

I called because we are staying there. It is just a room refurb by building. They say You shouldn't be able to see anything. The pool work is wrapping up which is just a fence.

The fence work is only at the main pool, not the lap pool at Casitas.

Neither AKL nor WL have lap pools, and WL isn't the place to go if one wants to avoid refurb action right now anyway.

One time we had long-standing reservations at CBR when they decided to do some refurbishment. They called, were very apologetic, and asked if it would be okay if they moved us over to an AKL savannah view room for the same price as CBR. We jumped on the chance!

EDIT: We were upgraded because there weren't any other available rooms at the CBR, so they couldn't just move us within the resort.

I would think as long as the adjoining rooms are not being worked on, no reason to not use the new rooms = revenue.

I'm sure they will. We were there shortly after they started changing from double beds to queen beds at CSR and we got a room with the new beds. I knew from reading the DIS that they had started in the Ranchos section, so when we were given a room there I wasn't unhappy about it.

Too bad 9B (Business Class) isn't on this list. The last time we stayed there it wasn't horrible, but the room could definitely use a refurb.
