On a side note, since the Hacienda was brought up, I thought the counter service there was horrible. Our meals were actually inedible, and we had to throw them away. My family loves all kinds of Mexican food, also, and we're not picky. It was just bad. They loved the churros, though.

Hacienda is a sit down, TS meal. Perhaps you're thinking of Cantina de San Angel? I'd agree, Cantina is awful... It's Taco Bell. The counter serve there seems to have gotten worse over the years while the sit-downs have gotten lightyears better.

It's no longer at San Angel Inn, but last I knew, something strikingly similar is at Hacienda.

Yeah it's pretty much the same, but I loved the tableside presentation mixed with the ambiance of the entire Mexico Pavilion.

Yes, it must be the Cantina. The names are all so similar that I get easily confused. It was a crack up when we first moved to San Diego and I was trying to get around. All the streets starts with Camino. Really messed me up.

You know, I like Taco Bell. But the Cantina wasn;t even on par with Taco Bell. To tell the truth, I've never had fast food Mexican that I didn't like, and most of my family is the same way. But this place made the most horrible meal we had the entire time. Except the churros. At least, from what I hear, the kids were so hungry that I gave mine up.

I had a really enjoyable meal at San Angel Inn in September 2011! I had Pollo a las Rajas which was SO good that we make it at home now, and my fiance liked his pork dish. We also liked our specialty margaritas, which you can also get at La Cava. I highly recommend the jalepeno and the avocado! The negative for us was that the desserts were BAD. My Isla Flottante was practically inedible.
