Worried About Getting BCV @ 7Mths - Will this work?

So I called and BW was available for my last four nights, she changed BLT to just three nights and then went to book BW and now it is not available. When she went to re-establish BLT, now one of those nights is not available. I'm on hold and getting really upset. I'm starting to regret buying DVC.

It sounds like she didn't do it right...she should have held those dates before canceling any BLT days....
I'm suer they will make it right...they'll move you to first place on the waitlist as a worst case scenario....

That's what I was going to say. I can't believe that they'd cancel one without securing the other. I mean, and then just be like "Oh well, we tried...sorry."

She said she couldn't book BWV without first releasing the points from my BLT reservation. I guess that makes sense but it seems like she should have been able to hold BWV while she took care of the BLT release. Maybe I just got an inexperienced CM.

Well, just have to hope my waitlist comes through. If not, BLT is great and we have the monorail for easy access to F&W. Either way, its all good.

I am fairly new to DVC and haven't tried switching a reservation at 7 months (but will be trying next month). However it seems like this would happen fairly often if MS didn't somehow put a hold on the points/room you are looking for while cancelling the other.

However I am glad it all worked out and I hope your waitlist comes through!

Glad you didn't lose your reservation. That is scarey! Did they have to do it this way because you didn't have enough extra points to book the new reservation and then cancel your old reservation? Just wondering why they did it this way. Too bad on losing your reservation at BWV. Was the preferred room not available too? Or are you only wanting the standard room. Which level are you waitlisted for? That increases your chances if you waitlist for perferred over standard.

No, I don't have enough points for both. I assume that is why she had to do it the way she did. I'm not looking for a specific view at BW, any will do but none were available. For my wait list I have the pool/garden as I think that has the highest number of rooms so my chances are better. There are no view categories at BC so that request is just for any studio.
