Doctors penmanship ✍️ is the worst, so I liken myself to that 🤣🤣
Thank goodness for escripts! I blame this actually on too MUCH education. If you’ve also suffered through professional school in the health sciences, you’ll know how much info is thrown at you in a short time. There is no way to write it all down fast enough, and neatly, and I didn’t even go to medical school. I ended up typing almost all my pharmacy school notes in class as I couldn’t keep up otherwise. My handwriting skills have completely atrophied since then since I NEVER write by hand.

Is being a pharmacist stressful? Does it take long to fill the prescriptions because there's so many people ahead, ive always wondered, im sure theres a bunch of hoops especially with controlled medications and insurance. I want to be a pharmacist 💊

It can be stressful. So much depends on where you work, and who you work with.

I'm incredibly lucky to have a lot of seniority and work for a great hospital. CVS, Walgreens, Walmart...well, it can be incredibly stressful partially due to staffing (understaffing) and partly due to underinvestment in things that make the pharmacist's life easier, like better software, automatic counting trays, etc. It doesn't help that salaries have not kept pace with inflation, either (this is due to reimbursement not keeping pace, most likely). And yes; controls have a lot of hoops and always will take longer! If you sign up for automated texting your life will be easier at the pharmacy and you a just show up when the medication is ready. It takes a long time to fill medications because there are SO many in process; when you show up you are probably one of many hundred in process, and those ones have to be worked on, too, so when those people (hopefully) show up, they are ready or close to ready.

In 2026 it isn't a career I recommend for anyone unless they already have a lot of proven experience in the field as a pharmacy technician already, but it can be rewarding at times. I don't regret it, but I'd consider alternatives first and think hard before pursuing it as your time is your most valuable asset, pharmacy school is four long years (usually) after college, and other potentially more personally and/or monetarily rewarding alternatives exist.

I feel intimidated by it and I dont know why, I just dont know where to begin! I dont want a tesla, what do you recommend
I have a Tesla and love it... but if I were buying a new one now, I'd give the Rivian R2 coming out in a couple months a very serious look... The R1 looks amazing too, but is quite steep if you don't need a car that big...

Cadillac Escalade IQ also comes to mind as a car I'd love to drive!

Ford Mustang Mach-E is also a great electric car.
