World Showcase TS

We have eaten at Teppon Edo 3 times, but would like some input on TS dinners at places we don't see mentioned here very often. We have 3 children, 16M, 13M and 9F.

Does anyone have any advice for us on:
Askerhus, Nine Dragons, San Angel Inn, Marrakesh or Rose and Crown?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

We just ate at Tutto Italia last week, walked up at 5pm with no ARD and got seated right away.

Let me tell you, it was my favorite meal of the whole vacation. The appetizer sampler for two was amazing, enough to feed about 6, lol. I had salmon and it was perfect, dh had a pork chop and it was amazing, and the best part was my sons spaghetti. I was so full but ended up eating about half of their bowl. It was the most amazingly wonderful spaghetti I have ever eaten. Noodles cooked and salted perfectly, sauce was the best ever and yummy meatballs on top. Their portions could have served an adult easy, and I'm a big eater.

Long story short, this was a surprise meal as I had planned a QS meal that night but just decided to try it. I would recommend it 100%.

We also ate a lunch at Marakesh and it was good, but different. My boys inhaled their "moroccan spaghetti" and I had the cous cous with some short rib type chunks on and it was good, but everything was slightly sweet. Not sugary sweet, but like a raisin/fig type sweet, if that makes sense. I probably wouldn't go back since there are so many other places to try, but I am glad that we ate there, just to see what it was like.

Askerhus - been to breakfast twice, it was great! Good food and awesome character interaction

Nine Dragons - terrible, DH was so sick after eating here. The food was so bad the waiter took the cost of the check.

San Angel Inn - Great! Been here twice for lunch and love it, going back there in 2 weeks!

I really like Restaurant Marrakesh... not the most popular restaurant but we had a great experience there in 2009. The music is really nice and interesting (2 performers) and the belly dancer was great too. She danced on the main floor, came by tables, and invited some children (young teens) to try belly dancing on the floor. Service was great.

Akershus was awesome! It is a buffet so the food is ready right away (great for impatient little ones). My children DD7 and DS2 loved to get up and dance. They really loved this meal.

Rose and Crown was another good meal. Service was a bit slow but the view of Illuminations from the patio was great.

San Angel Inn...the menu doesn't really appeal to us that much and I think the tables are too close together and my children don't like how dark it is.

Marrakesh - I have never been to.

My fav is Akershus though.

Ankerhus-character buffet. Unless you have a princess fetish there is no reason to go.
9 Dragons-don't bother. Stay with what you know.
San Angel- better menu now but La Hacienda is better
Marrakesh-better than expected. Have an open mind and you'll enjoy
R&C-best palce for Illuminations. Great place and pub.

DUH!!!! I meant Biergarten not Akershus. How the heck did I make that mistake? I'm blaming it on the snow. Anyway, check out BIERGARTEN. It was awesome. I didn't think we would like it at first but we LOVED it and have been back several times.

San Angel Inn has much improved over the days when it would get bad reviews here - perhaps they were inspired by the opening of their colleagues new restaurant next door. (You didn't ask, but I absolutely loved my one meal at La Hacienda.)

As for Nine Dragons, my experiences there have been far better than what one often hears here. The food has always been fine for me, although at the price, I have to say it's not a good value.

My meals at Marrakesh have also been good, and the place has never been more than about a quarter full.
