We are going through our "Disney Plan" for our upcoming February trip.

We notice that World Showcase at Epcot is open late on most nights (until 9PM).

After Future World closes, is it worth it to take kids through World Showcase (lets say 7PM to 9PM) or is it better to just go back to the hotel and relax or catch another attraction?

Kids ages = 13, 9, 3

so...

most of the year, future world's posted hours are 9 am - 7 pm, world showcase is 11 am - 9 pm. so it's really every night (the rest of the year, Epcot is open until 9:30) and of course on EMH evenings, that means 12 (or 12:30). Epcot is the only park whose hours really don't fluctuate.

make sense?

well, not really.

actually, Spaceship Earth, Mission:Space, Test Track, Soarin' and the entire Seas pavilion (that includes Nemo & Friends and Turtle Talk) operate at least until 9 pm too every night.

when i'm around, the Seas is where you'll probably find me around 8 pm. and you won't find too many others there either.

I think it all depends on how tired the kids are. The rides in Mexico and Norway are still open if they haven't done those yet and often times there are street preformers out to entertain. Illuminations almost always starts at 9:00 if your kids like fireworks. Other than that, it's pretty much walking through the different shops and maybe eating some snacks. I would say if you're planning on getting up early for a park the next morning, then skip it and let the kids get extra sleep.

Thanks for the Information!!! I appreciate it!

What time does the characters call it a night???

We did the boat ride in Mexico, I thought the one at the Land was much, much better.

What is the ride at Norway.

Street Performers sound cool!!! When we went in December World Showcase was DEAD. We couldn't really even get a bite to eat never mind a "adult" drink. Although I think we went during EMH.

well i guess even though my advice was neglected...

characters usually call it quits between 5:30 and 6 and street performances probably end at no later than 7:30.

you can see times for the current week at http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares

norway's attraction is maelstrom, a flumesque ride where you end up cursed by trolls and go through a small drop backwards.

mexico's ride, el rio del tiempo, was replaced with gran fiesta tour with the 3 caballeros april of 2007.

Hi Brad,

No your advice was not neglected!!!

Actually I'm confused and its late (sorry if I offended you)..

Anyways... If Future World closes at 7PM how can Soarin and the other rides stay open until 9PM. It doesn't make sense!!! Please explain.

I think we are going to avoid World Showcase after 7PM if characters and street performers disappear.

thanks!!!

Bob

PS. Thanks for the link!!!

i can't explain it, that's why i said it makes no sense.

i rather dislike the fact that they still insist on saying FW closes at 7, causes even more confusion when people try to factor evening EMH into it.
