My daughter wanted to buy a Lilo stuffed animal at WOD, where we can get our DC discount (one of the few perks left) and their stuffed animal area only had a few different characters. And I mean a few as in less than 15 characters. Gone is their great selection. :( It is all at Once Upon a Toy, where there are no discounts for anyone.

Now I love Once Upon a Toy, it is a very cool store and a lot of fun to play in, but the lack of a discount stopped us from buying more than we wanted. I just wanted to give anyone who was thinking of doing most of their shopping at WOD to get anytype of discount that they aren't carrying as much merchandise as they were.

not only can you not get the DC discount at the toy store, there are now quite a few items at world of disney that they wouldn't let me use my dc discount on! I really do not think its worth it to get the DC card anymore. after next yr I am letting mine go, its just not worth it!
The new toy store is really great!

I just retruned from our terip and agree Once Upon a Toy is a great store, but lack of discounts is a big disapointment to me. We love World of Disney, but could not get everyting we wanted there. So, we bought what we could with the discount at WoD and left the rest behind.

After calculating what we would have bought at Once Upon a Toy with the discount, Disney loss over $300 in sales. I made sure the manager at WoD and Once Upon a Toy knew this. at Once Upon a Toy, we left all of our purchases at the register with the manager after finding out no discounts apply. She gave us a strange look when we said we would not but the merchandise with out a discount. Sorry, but my money is hard earned and I may find the stuff later in WoD or other places with discounts, if not - no major crisis.

Good for you, Jiminyfan!!! I can just see their faces when you told them you wouldn't buy their stuff without the discount! Their prices are high enough. We like to walk around the stores, but our shopping is often limited to the many Disney Outlets.
