Good Walking Shoes

I started wearing Brooks some years ago on the advice of a "specialty" shoe store. One of those places where they watch how you walk, how your feet land when walking, checking your gait, etc. I get a new pair every couple of years.

Bought Skechers slip-ins because I thought it would be less hassle at the airport when going through security. I didn't find them especially comfortable for extensive walking. Grocery store fine, WDW not so much.

I don't think it's so much that one brand is the best. I think it's more how a particular size/style fits you. I try on a variety of brands of sneakers before deciding. I try the B width. If it's tight I try the W width. I'll go with my usual size and then often try up 1/2 size.

I love my Sketchers slip ins for walking all day!!

the only downside is i wear them out in like 6 months. I can tell when I need new ones as my lower back get a specific ache.

I live in Canada so I don't think we have Road Runner Sports or if Hokas are sold here. I will be checking stores here. To add to it all, I have very wide feet. So, not easy buying shoes or boots. Just looking for suggestions. Thanks!
Same plus I have neuropathy. Easy spirit have wide options and are so comfortable!

Completely agree with this. I'm wearing a pair of Skecher's Slip ins GoRuns right now. But I won't wear them if I'm going to be doing any more walking than around the office. If I do more than two or three miles in them in a day, I know I'm going to have foot cramps at night. Not a problem with my Nike running shoes or my Hokas.
