World of Disney Store NYC - getting there

Hey fellow peeps!

Need some help. My mother and I will be going to NYC on 2/28 for a taping of the Martha Stewart show. Yes yes good times. But the only other real thing I want to do that do is get to the World of Disney store on 5th ave. Can someone tell me the best way to get from one to the other. I have no idea what the address for Martha is. Im sure I could find it on her website. Also can someone tell me all about disney store. I need to make my mother want to go. Thanks!!!!

The Martha Stewart show is taped at Chelsea TV studios on 26th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue. The Disney store is at 55th Street and Fifth Avenue. So you have to go about 29 blocks north and then over three loooong blocks to the east. You can catch a subway (the E train) at 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue which will take you to 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue. After that you could walk the two blocks to 55th Street. BUT......unless you're comfortable getting around on the subways, you might want to take a cab. The subway will cost you each $2 and, depending on traffic, the cab should be about $7 - $8. The shop is G-R-E-A-T!!! It's beautifully themed, they have a wide variety of merchandise - even a Mickey dressed up as Statue of Liberty.
